Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery Catechists' conference ends at Kade

Kade, June 17, GNA - Reverend Ernest Oworae Darkwa, Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery Chairperson of Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has urged Ghanaians to tolerate each others' opinion to help maintain peace in the country.

He called on Christians in particular to pray fervently for God's guidance towards peaceful general elections on December 7. "Ghana is our only country and we must endeavour to preserve the peace before, during and after December 7," he added. Rev. Darkwa was delivering the sermon at a thanksgiving service to end the 26th annual delegate's conference of Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery Catechists of Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Kade in the Kwaebibirem District on Tuesday.

About 150 Catechists attended the conference, which was under the theme "Let us go on to Maturity". Mr Lawrence Kofi Akwaa, Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery Catechists' Chairman, commended Catechists for working hard under difficult conditions at their stations. He noted that despite their difficult conditions of service, they were dedicated to their calling.
