Medeama Sporting Club is on the verge of bankruptcy as management of the club has announced that the club is up for sale.

Series of meetings held at the management level last week, prompted management and board members to call on interested stakeholders to purchase the club on an outright sale basis.

Reports gathered by sportscrusader.com suggest the club is on the verge of bankruptcy and this is the only alternative solution to address the financial difficulties that the club faces after incurring huge costs following its participation in the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup club competition.

The Public Relations Officer of the club, Benjamin Kesse said: “Of course, Medeama SC have put the Club up for sale.

“It is true, the Club is up for sale, the management and board met and has decided to put the Club up for sale,” Benjamin Kesse told Atinka FM.

“It has been difficult funding the Club due to the sponsorless league we played last season.

“We incurred loss in our participation in Africa and we didn’t receive any motivation from government or the FA.

“So the Club officials have taken the decision to put the Club up for sale.”
