Valentina lifts Tema Ladies Medal trophy

Valentina Manteaw returned 59 net to win the Tema Country Golf Club Ladies March Monthly Medal golf competition played at Tema on Wednesday.

Esther Antwi came second with 70 net, while the third position went to Grace Komladzei with 72 net.

Kofi Gyau won the Men's Supporting category with 35 net, by beating Kweku Okyere on countback.

About 50 Lady golfers took part in the one-day 18-hole stableford competition which was sponsored by the club.

Mrs Florence Etwi-Barimah, Lady Captain of the club, asked the participants to take their training seriously so that that can excel in major competitions lined up for the club.

Members use the Monthly Medal competitions to sharpen their strokes for major events.

The next major competition is the Ghana Amateurs Open Championship scheduled for Tema from April 18 to 21., 2003.
