More golfers to vie for Bok Nam Kim Golf Trophy

Tema, April 9, GNA - More than 200 golfers are expected to participate in the Tema Country Golf Course to vie for the Bok Nam Kim Memorial Invitational Golf Championship trophy when it tees off on Saturday, April 14.

Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the Tema Country Golf Club who announced this at Tema on Monday said the One-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition, which would be played under the local rules of the Club, is being sponsored by Afko Group of Companies. He said the entry requirement for the Men competitors is Handicap 18 while the Ladies is Handicap 24.

Among an array of golfers who would be competing in the event are Yaw Assah-Sam, Nick Smallman, Kwame Saarah-Mensah, Michael Aggrey and Felix Owusu- Adjapong, Majority Leader in Parliament and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.

Paul Nukunu and Beatrice Vetsce-Bempong will be defending the trophies they won in the Men and Ladies categories last year. The Championship is in honour of Mr Bok Nam Kim, the former Chief Executive Officer of Afko Group of Companies who single-handedly sponsored Ghana's contingent to the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea.
