Lipton Bi-Monthly Golf championship scheduled for October 2

Tema, Sept. 27, GNA - The seventh Lipton Bi-Monthly Open Golf Championship tees off at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, October 2.

Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, General Manager of the Club, who announced this at Tema on Monday said the one-day 18-Hole event, will be sponsored by Unilever Ghana Limited. He said the competition, which was expected to attract about 100 golfers would be played in accordance with the rules of the Club. Mr Adablanu said some of the players who have already registered for the competition include Alex Fiagomey, Paul Owusu-Baah and captain Kweku Okyere.

Meanwhile, the Tema Country Golf Club defeated Ikeja Golf Club of

Nigeria 30-21 in an international match played on Sunday. The return encounter would be played in Nigeria later in the year. 27 Sept. 10
