J.S. Addo Seniors golf on May 17

This year's J.S. Addo Seniors Golf Championship would be played at the Achimota Golf Course on Saturday, May 17.

Mr Samuel L. Adetola, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Tuesday, said the one-day 18-hole stableford competition open to amateur golfers aged 55 years and above, is being sponsored by Ecobank Ghana Limited.

The competition, which is to honour Mr J.S. Addo, former Governor of the Bank of Ghana and the first Board Chairman of Ecobank Ghana would involve about 100 senior golfers from Achimota, Tema and Celebrity golf clubs.

From the host club Achimota, senior golfers who have already registered for the event include, Michael Ben-George, John Sam, Kofi Acquaah-Harrison, Charles Tabi, Sydney Quartey, Van Heist, the May Day cup holder and Wisdom Asempa.

Felix Owusu-Adjapong, John Cobbina, and Alex Fiagomey are expected to represent Tema.

Mr Albert Essien, Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana Limited would be the special guest of honour.
