Gyimah-Kwakye wins Tema Medal golf

Tema, Aug. 14, GNA - Group Capt. Gyimah-Kwakye returned 71 net to win this month's Tema Country Golf Club Medal Championship played at Tema on Saturday.

Charles Derby took the second position with 72 net while M. McGuire placed third with 75 net.

Florence Etwi-Barimah won the Ladies category with 73 net beating when she beat Francisca Vandyck to the second position with only a stroke.

Joseph Mensah won the newly-introduced Juniors event with 73 net while John Williams Aalst, winner of this year's Peugeot Challenge tournament came second with 76 net.

The one-day 18-Hole Stableford competition opened to amateur golfers from Tema, Achimota, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim golf clubs attracted about 50 participants.

Mr Alex Fiagomey, Captain of Tema Country Golf Club called on the members to take active interest in the activities of the club.
