Fiagomey re-elected captain of Tema Golf

Tema, Dec. 22, GNA - Mr Alex Fiagomey has been re-elected unopposed as Captain of Tema Country Golf Club for another two-year term. In an election held at Tema on Sunday, Mr Kofi Gyau was also re-elected unopposed as the Vice Captain while Mr I.K. Okyere retained his post as the Competition Secretary.

Other members re-elected unopposed were Mr William Yeboah, House Member, Mr Emmanuel T. Mensah, Secretary and Nii Ankrah, Treasurer. Mr Fiagomey expressed appreciation to the members for the confidence reposed in him and called for support to enable him and his team perform their creditably well.

In a competition to round off the activities for the day J. Berterman returned 69 net, beating Nii Ankrah on count-back, to emerge champion while E.T. Mensah placed third with 71 net. Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong won the Ladies category with 73 net while the second place went to Esi Cobbina with 83 net.

The club would round off the year's activities with the Afariwaa Invitational Golf on Saturday, December 27.
