Coca Cola Medal Golf tees off on April 11

Accra, April 7, GNA - Over 100 golfers are expected to parade at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, April 11 to vie for this month's Coca Cola Medal Open Golf Championship. Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club told GNA Sports in Accra on Tuesday, that the one-day 18-Hole competition would be sponsored by the Coca Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited.

He said the competition which would be played in league system, has continued to generate interest month after month and that Saturday's event would not be an exception. Mike Aggrey, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club is expected to lead his Club members, which would include Sam Sowah, Charles Tabi, Michael Ezan and Matthias Dorfe.

The Ladies section would also witness stiff opposition from Mona Myles-Lamptey, Mary Morgan, Ama Morgan, Clara Price and Victoria Adjei. Winners of the League, which will end in December, this year would be presented with the giant trophy to be donated by the sponsors. 07 April 09
