Captain's Prize Competition put on hold

Tema, Feb. 18, GNA - This year's much publicized Tema Country Golf Club Captain's Prize competition which was scheduled for this weekend has been put on hold.

Officials told the GNA Sports on Wednesday that the new twist was due to the Guinness Open Competition, which the Tema Golf Club was billed to participate in Kumasi this weekend.

However, the President's Putter fixed for Sunday, February 29, will be honoured at the Tema Golf Club.

Participating club will include Achimota, Bok Nam Kim and the Celebrity Golf Clubs.

The postponed one-day 18-Hole stable-ford Captain's Prize Open Competition had been opened for amateur golfers from Tema, Achimota, and Celebrity plus all others from the Greater Accra Region and was to be sponsored by Mr Alex Yayra Fiagomey, Captain of the Tema Golf Club.
