Bok Nam Kim Memorial Golf At Tema

This year's Bok Nam Kim Memorial Open Golf Championship tees off at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, April 12.

Mr Alex Yayra Fiagomey, captain of Tema Country Golf Club who announced this at Tema on Wednesday, said Afko Group of Companies is sponsoring the one-day-18-hole medal competition, which is open to professional and amateur golfers throughout the country.

The competition is in remembrance of the late Mr. Bok Nam Kim, Chief Executive Officer of Afko Group of Companies who single-handedly sponsored Ghana's contingent to the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul. He died in 1995.

Mr. Fiagomey said the event, which will be played under the rules of the Royal Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrew, golf's world governing body, is expected to attract more than 150 participants.

Entry requirement for the men's event is handicap 1-18 and for ladies handicap 1-24.
