Aboagye wins Goil Invitational Golf

Accra, May 28, GNA-K.S. Aboagye beat E.K. Osei on count-back after they had both returned 63 net, to win this year's Goil Ghana Limited Invitational Golf Championship played at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course at the Air-Force Officers Mess in Accra on Saturday.

F. Gyimah-Kwakye came third with 65 net, Jonathan Howard took the fourth position with 66 net, beating Rex Acquah on count-back while Joe Danso placed sixth with 68 net.

Margaret Owusu-Baah won the Ladies event with 64 net, Florence Etwi-Barimah came second with 67 net while Suzie Abaloo Kumasah took the third position with 70 net About 70 golfers participated in the one-day 18-Hole Stableford competition.

Lt-Col (rtd) Alex Johnson, Vice Captain of the Bok Nam Kim Golf Club thanked the company for sponsoring the competition and called on other corporate bodies and institutions to help develop the game in the country.

Mr James Ankobeah, Finance Director of Goil Ghana Limited expressed gratitude for the attendance and gave the assurance that the company would continue to support the game's development.
