Secondly I think this writer should have spares us the usual titles at the end and rather told us where he has worked or which experience he is drawing his judgement from.We live in a country where everybody is a senior something or an expert in another thing yet they have no professional record to even judge a low level manager.

It will help if you can contribute sensibly to this debate rather than starting off with unnecessary personal attacks. The writer has made a cogent and lucid point that there's absolutely no justification for an impoverished nation like Ghana to have 110 ministers and deputies. We still go around begging for loans and handouts to support our developmental efforts, right? How do you justify this collossal waste and abuse of state resources to your development partners? All this waste is happening in a country that has not weaned itself off IMF support, in fact still under IMF life support? This is a monumental mistake on the part of the President. We all wish him very well and want him to succeed but that doesn't mean we shouldn't criticize him when we feel he is making the wrong decisions. Grow up a little small boy Redoff and learn.

Yes, we have to say thanks to people who spend their precious time to write on topical issues, especially when they make cogent points on the salient issues.
I am privy to a Whatsapp posting which out just the emoluments of the Ministers and their Deputies, excluding all those perks, at a whooping 60% of the total wage bill of the civil service! So 110/1 people are going receive more than what the 100 of thousands of civil servants take home. It is simply immoral if that's correct.
I think Akufo-Addo is simply continuing from where he assisted Kufuor to, devising official ways to loot the public treasury such as using cronies to stand as fronts in getting loans, negotiating for oil contracts and projects, visa deals from the Castle, etc., with hefty cuts going to those cronies to be shared, of course. As the late Ga Chairman of the NPP said, Kufuor himself was in charge of the kitty and very tight with the purse strings.
Well, this time around, they are not going to fool anyone. This "elephant-size" cabinet is not but a pure raid on the Consolidated Fund. Ghanaians have simply put back into office the other gang of "thieves and thiefettes".

Apart from the emoluments and perks of the Article 71 office holders taking an lion's share of the wages bill, at the end of every 4 years the ex-gratia they take home alone breaks the kitty. meanwhile many trained nurses, teachers are working without pay for years !!!! Many other graduates are at home without jobs. Wake the fuckk up Ghana !!!

This is where the labour union of Ghana should step in if really they know their job and are serious and thinking about the poor tax payer. Do the president wants to tell us that there is no corruptions in China, Nigeria etc. But these countries are being governed by very small number of ministers. If this is a way of rewarding your party members then you are rather killing the poor tax payer.

Am not surprise Akuffo Addo is being tribalistic here. We all know the NPP to be solely an akan party. They only ride on the northerners to win elections, and dump them after wards. Am sure the northerners are watching and learning. They used Bawumia in court to batter their dirty trade with all their so called lawyers with good standing. See Bawumia now, a complete toddler in the party over shadowed by the senior minister. The late Alhaji Aliu Mahama never visited Europe in the name of Ghana, rather he was littering about in the war tone African countries whilst Kuffour was lavishing in all the developed worlds. I want to to find out why they hate Northerners soo much. Is it because they are soo intelligent and morally sound. They never liked the NDC govt because it wasn't performing, but rather the leader was from the north. You guys made a lot of noise about corruption on the past govt. Know I ask; why is it taking the NPP soo long to publish the bribery case meted to Joe Osei. Is it because its true and so they are trying soo hard to shield the outcome of the report or could it be that, the Joe Ghartey committee was also bribed by the accuse? Either ways the treat it, we all know Joe Osei took bribe and shared amongst the minority. Its in their DNA. An akan doesn't speak for a second without the mention of SIKA. Remember too, they don't stay long at a place they don't get an opportunity to steal. Could it be from their up bringing? Cos majority of their parents are just soo SENSELESS and in fact is a FACT

The verdict now is 111 Ministers and deputies is insane. It is outrageous, it is scandalous. Trim the government to size. Ghana doesn’t need more than 30 Ministers if you ask me. The United States runs the world’s largest economy with 32 Ministers, Japan runs the world’s third largest economy with just 17 Ministers and even our neighbor Nigeria has just 36 Ministers. Why do we need 111 Ministers in Ghana? I am struggling to find a good reason for this but I can’t.
