I come from Elmina. It is our Heritage. What is Ministry of Tourism doing? DCE`s and MP`s doing? how much does white-wash paint and building a toilet cost? Even the toilet can generate money, can employ cleaners. Tourists can pay to visit the Monument. If the Government can`t do any of this I Mame Esi of Elmina can do it. They should give me a contract to do it and I will lift it up high. It is very shameful.

There was back in the day when cleanliness and hygiene was practices we all deemed important even while living on less than 2 cedis a day. The people of Elmin like every coastal community have become just too filthy for their own good. Perhaps they can be reminded they are full of shit because they eat fishes that come to feed of the shit that slowly find way into the sea.
