He must know his health condition. So, the decision to sue or not could be necessitated if indeed Wellington Hospital leaked his medical records to AfricaWatch. If it emerges that Wellington Hospital 'disclosed' his health records, then, he should instruct his UK solicitors to begin legal proceedings against Wellington Hospital.
Whatever the truth, I certainly find AfricaWatch's publication highly political, malicious and irresponsible. Unfortunately, such publication says much about Ghana's "politics of the gutter".

2. Kofi is advising Akufo-Addo to sue! This is almost absurd! Akufo-Addo is a qualified lawyer with long years of practice behind him. He has a team of legal experts at his beck and call. These people know far better than Kofi Ata if Akufo-Addo should sue or not in a matter like this.
3. Kofi Ata has a paragraph telling us that the cancer risk to Nana from the report is not one that will necessarily kill him. Why does Kofi Ata want to play medical doctor? And why should he pick up only of the ailments reported in the AfricaWatch publication?
4. Kofi Ata has failed to tell his readers the more important aspects of this sordid story. Patient records are top secret. Kofi Ata, everybody knows that. No well meaning news outfit will publish such details. Everybody knows that too. The question then is why this thing about the candidate's health?
There are many conspiracy theories making the rounds in Ghana. Some say it was an insider job to lay the blame on NDC or to court sympathy votes. Others say it's the work of friendship turned sour... Is the whole thing a farce - a fabrication with the help of experts in the field? What are the probable outcomes on the fortunes of the candidates? These, and other things, are the issues, not whether Akufo should sue or not.
Some other meanings may also be read in Kofi Ata's piece. He is not advising the candidate to sue but rather DARING him to go to court to prove that the allegations about his health status are false! Why else should he want to go to court the outcome of whose proceedings will be made public? Will he be wanting the court to punish the hospital for a breach or to ask the hospital to issue a denial that the candidate was so diagnosed? Ditto AfricaWatch. Will Nana want the court to force the newspaper to do a detraction or say that they fabricated the whole thing?
If Kofi Ata finishes his private investigation, he can come back to tell us his results. Even then too, he too, will be in a bind. Will he come and tell us that the whole thing is a fabrication or that the records are, indeed, correct?
Some of us think this matter should just be forgotten. The candidate has issued a denial. The NDC say they were not behind. We all know not to wish anybody bad or to play politics with anyone's health. We should stop commenting on this issue.
We are now faced with a situation in which BOTH leading candidates are bad for the nation. That should bother us far more than the alleged health status of one of the candidates!

I have also seen the pdf and Kofi, I can tell you for sure that, there is much to this than what we know. It is in light of this that I hundred percent support your advise to Nana Addo to sue, not only the paper but the hospital as well. Until he did that, majority of us will take it as thier own fabrications. Nobody can sweep this under the carpet.Nana Addo should disprove such a serious allegations.
