You are completely wrong with your reasoning. The EC did not change the date for any diabolical purposes. It was for practical reasons the date has been changed. Both Parliament and the Executive have made this suggestion, because there is not enough time to manage the transition from one govt to another. You mentioned the US elections as happening on 8 November and the handing over to the new govt happens on January 8, so enough time is allowed for the transition. The EC is simply using COMMON SENSE by copying what the US does.
