ATTA MILLS WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE, BUT NO BECAUSE HE PRESIDED OVER ONE OF THE MOST CORRUPT GOVERNMENTS OF OUR HISTORY.
SO LEADERSHIP PARALYSIS, YES, AND YES AND YESS. THATS GHANA'S PROBLEM.
AND THE FOUR JOHNS WERE THE WORSE LEADERS IN GHANA'S HISTORY.
GHANAIANS SHOULD NEVER LET A JOHN RULE THEM AGAIN !!!. JOHNS ARE FOOLS .

Too harsh on Pres. Kuffour. He was miles ahead of all the John's. At least, I will remember him for coming up with the NHIS.

Thank you so much for your expository on LEADERSHIP. This is one of the best articles that I have ever read describing who a TRUE LEADER is.
Our beloved country and continent has not seen nor experienced a TRUE LEADER in a long time. And the so-called half baked potatoe leaders we have now are useless and greedy.
For the past three decades all we had were "Lions in sheep's clothes." They come only to amass wealth, intimidate, insult and sometimes kill.
I hope and pray the real educated ones amongst us will be enlightened enough to vote their conscience and not just party lines.

Sad Ghana is LEADERLESS then, going by what is prevailing presently. The so called leaders, like Nebuchadnezzer are driven into the bush for their innate corruption, arrogance and sheer wickedness.

I believe that Ghana has produced some very good leaders. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was light years ahead of his generation, but we have had others such as Dr. Limann, Rawlings, Prof. Mills and now President Mahama, all doing well to various degrees of course. Our main drawback has been the Busia-Danquah tradition that has haunted us for all these years. It is based on a parochial and ethno-chauvinistic hegemony that all well-meaning and patriotic Ghanaians must reject outright.

I do not want to accept your risible bias towards the UP tradition. If you are indeed objective, you could not put Rawlings, Mills nad Mahama ahead of Kuffour, who for anything at all, introduced pragmatic social interventions such as NHIS, scholl feeding, maternal care, mass transport, NYEP and many others. Can you mention any social interventions your so-called achievers introduced?
