Kofi, it appears recent events have overtaken some parts your piece.
Stan Dogbey has denied that his Event PR group had nothing to do with the printing of the much criticized brochure. If that turns out to be true, then more needs to be unearthed as it relates to the printing of the brochure.
On the other hand, Stan did not mention, let alone deny, his role in the preparation of the document (brochure). Did he play any role in its preparation, and if he did what was it? It is widely assumed that his outfit at the Presidency played a role in the organization of the celebrations. What was his role?
It appears from Stan's rebuttal that there are serious in-fighting and turf wars going on at the Presidency, this gives credence to the suspicion that some "inside sabotage" went on in this whole brouhaha.
Only time will tell. All efforts should be made to unearth what went on to forestall a future occurrence.
Indeed it was Ghana's International Day of Shame (GIDS)

MASSA KOFI, this isn't merely a piece of NDC propaganda gone mad. Even if, the NDC Government was desperately using Ghana's Independence celebration as a propaganda function, the 59th Independence Brochure has embarrassingly exposed the level of shoddiness, incompetence, lack of professionalism, incompetence, cluelessness, mediocrity and corruption deeply embedded in this NDC Government. For 59 years, from 1957-2016, is the current state of Ghana a progression towards greatness and development? The error-ridden Independence Brochure perfectly sums up the current state of Ghana!
President John Mahama's administration seems to stumble from failings to disaster, and from incompetent leadership to Brochure printing shambles. President Mahama particularly deserves this humiliation, albeit a huge national embarrassment, because he has appointed people at the Presidency and in Government who lack the required academic and professional credentials for the positions they occupy. Is Ghana short of brilliant professional writers? If a whole committee was set up for planning this Independence celebration and related events, what were their duties and responsibilities? And why wasn't the Brochure proofread before and after print?
Now, from Stan Dogbe's denial of his private company, EventPR involvement in the printing of this Brochure amidst the finger-pointing, and of course, the fact that Ghana Information Service Department(ISD), indeed, did not print the Brochure, my question is: Who Printed The 59th Independence Celebration Brochure?

The sabotage theory (not part of Ata's write-up) is surely preposterous but at the same time imaginable. The nature of the mistakes is such that the supposed perpetrator must be grimly determined to be able to pull it through. This means he must beat the entire system. Since the system is multi-layered, as Ata describes, it must be difficult to beat even if parts of it are broken down. That is why the sabotage theory is still not likely.
Then it is most certainly due to a systems failure. Even if NDC is wants to use the thing for propaganda purposes, it still doesn't mean they should allow mistakes to be made. Even if the contract was given to a party crony, it still doesn't mean mistakes should be allowed. That is why the whole thing is so baffling.
The point, as one Nigerian writer said on ghanaweb last week about Buhari, is even a corrupt government can be competent. This is to say a corrupt NDC government can contract the project to party crony which will still be able to do a very competent and highly professional job. And no one will be any wiser. But to combine corruption with incompetence is the most grievous injustice to Ghanaians.
This is no work of the gremlin. The transposition of the names of the head of state can be excused at the typing level (laptop keyboards easily jump across the page and cut and past can go wrong at times) but one will expect such mistakes not to go undetected at the proof-reading stage.
The unforgivable mistakes are the factual ones. How any Ghanaian who has even gone to JSS will put our country on the equator and wax lyrical about that "fact" is what none of us can imagine. We must know who penned those lines and how he or she came to a position to be doing that work. A thorough investigation is demanded so that we will know all those people in the chain of command whose incompetence and negligence led us to this disaster.
More heads must roll and if Mahama wants us to believe him as a no-nonsense leader, even officials who are only remotely connected with this disaster must lose their jobs. There will be a thousand and one more competent Ghanaians willing to step into their shoes.

It has been revealed by some staff at the Information Services Department that the disastrous Independence Day brochures were printed at the Flagsaff House by a committee set up by the president. What a shame. Where were these people educated? Do they know what is called proofreading or double checking? These NOTORIOUS DEMENTED CRIMINALS(NDC) have evolved so many ways of stealing and wasting the Ghanaian taxpayers money.

The analysis is of brilliant quality, even if disclosures by by certain personalities turn to be true and the brochures happen to not have been printed by the company Kofi claims did so, in his article. What marvels one is that there are such personalities as Kofi, outside of government but with clearer perspectives on how properly efficient government machinery functions -or must function- in a legal framework within a democracy. State, parliament, government, party and politics are terms the current generation might have a skewed interpretation of, if it draws on daily events, news and practices of this era. What a shame!

In my school days, this could not happen to a school speech day programme! How could anyone who has gone through the SHS system approve a thing like that?
If the NDCC party cannot get a simple thing like a brochure right, then Ghanaians will be really foolish not to punish them at Election 2016 for this shame they have brought unto the people of Ghana everywhere!
