When the wise speaks, it is hard for the fool to comprehend. I have said before and will never stop saying that the ruling is made of truants and vagabonds. When in the history of man, did a truant do something to have impact on society? Never.
Imagine how this government is behaving. Even group of drunken sailors can rule better than this Mahama and his goon squad. They are best known for mismanagement.

I agree with this article in many issues. Ghana needs a free economy to function effectively. Politicians tar roads to get votes from the next election but ignore the reality on the ground. People cannot create their own businesses due to poor regulations and lack of better infrastructure. So college graduates are forced to look for government jobs that employ people through the whom you know system.

Sarpong you've been around the scene for quite sometime now to pay attention to whatever come out of the mouths of these loose talkers let alone be surprised about them.
What you or for that matter all fair minded Ghanaians must be worried about is the continous reign of these lots in Ghana.
In less than one month's time,it will be fifty nine years since Ghana's independence and the only party with different political ideology and policy(Danquah -Busia -Dombo tradition),had ruled a combined total of ten and half years. The remaining years have been in the hands of parties of the same political idiology, views and beliefs from Nkrumah's CPP through to the current Mahama's NDC.
Yet they will never accept that they'really the cause of our country Ghana's mess and predicaments.
So my friend that's my reason for saying to you never should you be astonished by utterances from NDC and their followers.
The word TRUTH is toxic to them.
If you can recollect the insults and attacks they rained on people who raised the poor health issue of the late prof.Atta Mills when it was crystal clear to every rational person that the man was dying.Acceptance of truth by these crop of inborn hate filled people, forget it.

If he has not shown himself neutral in the past, why should people think he is being neutral now? The very statement he made is very political, even if he was known to be apolitical.
He has dissipated his right to be viewed as a neutral, disinterested observer of our life.

Pastor Dr. Mensa Otabil is a prick and a selfish SOB. Can Ghana be sustained if everyone of its citizens gained tax exempt status in line with the lousy jobs our churches have become? What Otabil is asking of Ghana is to have the ability to use his church collection plate money to buy government property on the cheap and run institutions of public importance where he gets to dictate his prices and profits.
As bad as our universities have become in Ghana churning out idiots what products is Dr. Otabil's private university giving Ghana and how much has he been charging his students? Why is Mensa Otabil not providing jobs for his graduates instead of him and his students waiting on government jobs? Are they not smart enough to learn his tricks to setup tax exempt status outfits to get free money? Give me a break with all the crap from the "whore" houses masquerading as temples. Jesus never got to ride donkeys with gold hoofs or finest clothing money could buy for saddle; why must these clowns pretend God is rewarding them for the half ass job they do? In a gullible society we settle for the kind of men or women of God we deserve.

The man of God has said or rather preached politics instead of the gospel but may I ask what the gospel is about? Is is not about good news to the people? Human beings are never satisfied with what they have ,reason for which they are always on the quest for more. To me , the man of God had the moral right to express his opinion like any other citizen though the examples he cited were out of place and politically sensitive nature given the fact that they are of economic necessity for the economy to thrive. His pronouncement would be undoubtedly be misinterpreted as trivializing the achievements of the government.
All he could have said was that, with those crucial infrastructure in place, investors should seize the opportunity to invest to help the economy which ,as evidence globally, cannot be the sole responsibility of governments. Governments , worldwide even in the major western economies do create enough jobs to support the economies. All that governments do is to provide the basic infrastructeute like roads, electricity or power and water which cannot be provided by an private individual.
The Man of God's choice of examples would therefore be seen as political without doubt though he might not have realized that.He should have rather called upon those capable of investing in the economy but who for political reasons want to withhold such investments in order to see the government fall, to do so now because time and tide waits for no man.

Dont skew the rantings of Otabil. We understood perfectly what he meant. The act of government is to create a conducive environment for its citizens to progress. Same environment that has made it possible for him Otabil to grow his church business and be made board member of private businesses. Basic infrastructure is governments responsibility i.e. road, water, power, housing, education and health. All the churches have now established including ICGC have set up universities. Many individuals have hospitals and clinics and nothing stops them from enlarging them to Korle Bu size. Government played no role in the likes of Kasapa. Government played no role in the likes of Group Ndoum. Government played no role in the likes of Despite Group. All these couldnt have succeeded if the government did not provide the required atmosphere for them to thrive. We are not stupid Patrick so dont think for us.

What is inspiring about this political rant by an aggrieved person? We have problems with such attitude. He is a threat to our peace. The government is opening up universities across the country to allow universal education as enshrined in the constitution. Ask the students at Central University how much they pay as fees. Central University is one of the most expensive institutions in the country if not the most. Why is that ?

Are you his motivational or frustration translator? Do you think we do not understand what he said? He talked of government monopolizing education, etc., for an example, while he is allowed through "HIS" church to build a university. No nation on earth does not have deep and uncompromising vested interest in education. The future of generations and the nation reside there. For every government on earth, it is not a money-making venture, profit-driven capitalistic institution, not education. Who makes money from education? If it so, Ghana will remain poorer and with fewer well-educated people.
Some may be luck, some may claim God made way for them, but a nation does not depend on luck or prayers for its generations to be educated. It plans and makes a education affordable to its vast majority, not only those who can pay for it. That is what Nkrumah attempted. The pastor may never understand that one, not in this lifetime. That is not to say private fee-paying education is bad. But a nation cannot thrive and prosper based on that expensive education set up across the nation. Millions cannot afford it. Million will not graduate because they cannot pay to finish and millions will be indebted.
Remember Nkrumah? He had no mansions but built universities and offered free education and set generations of Ghanaians on the road to better future. Again check out Germany and see how education is done.
The best roads in all countries on earth are built by governments and states. If you go to Germany, you see the example. Even ancient Rome had the government built the Appian Way. The criminal Hitler copied the government involvement in road construction and continued building the Autobahn that was established by earlier regime as a federal controlled-access highway system, of course for him to transport troops rapidly to war as Romans did. Yes, the Great Wall of China was built by government embodied by the Chinese emperor and his officials.
Ghanaians do not need a pastor to tell them they should want better. They have always wanted better, indeed the best, that was why they voted Nkrumah into power, only later to be disappointed as he became paranoid after bombs were thrown at him.
Point to a single house Nkrumah owned or wealth he accrued and passed on to his spouse, children and sycophants? We have government ministers selling government residents and lands to themselves and pastors said nothing. Of course, they wanted better for themselves just as the pastor accrue wealth.
Jesus did not make money or chase money. He said give Caesar what is Caesar's. Caesar was government. You idiots always quote the Bible and call on Jesus to justify stupidity. If you walk in Jesus' footsteps, you will not accrue wealth because he said it will be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven.
If these words are his, you are all following rich people to hell.
How cares whether it is partisan or not. It is of no significance when one understands the magnitude and implication of what has been said, given the media saturation of such characters cloaked in religiosity, billboards all-over screaming.
Ghanaians want the best, but the best is not going to come through businessmen and entrepreneurs running government. DEMOCRACY IS NOT EQUAL TO CAPITALISM. They may compliment each other and that is all and that is where it ends, complimenting democracy. It is democracy that guarantees life and liberty for capitalism to thrive not the other way around.
Away with unreasonable ideas that will spell doom to millions of Ghanaians.
