One of the reasons why NDC lost the election in 2000 was the arrogance of some of the officials so if we have such people today displaying that arrogance we need to get rid of those individuals,we cannot afford to lose the election because of stupidity of the likes of this guy.
Parliament as a respectable institution should take the first step tho strip him of the chairmanship of the Finance committee,NDC leadership should replace him if he cannot do the honorable thing to resign,we cannot have such a person in such an important position.

Use your head, Sarpong, because we don't want another Rwanda on our hands in Africa. This inflammatory language has one purpose and one purpose only - to incite violence. The peace we enjoy in the country is not constant, but dynamic and such vituperative language against a particular tribe is unhelpful in sustaining that peace. The IMF conditionalities have started biting, and there is more to come. But in spite of all these hardship brought upon the people by the dastardly NDC goons, the stupid and brain dead Ghanaian would still go to the polls and vote for them. So what am I saying now?

I didn't see an opinion piece on here linking their utterances to their ethnicity. I agree, those were very "insensitive" utterances by the two MPs but it had nothing to do with which part of Ghana they represent or come from. And please, don't tell me I took your statements out of context. You qualified those MPs by preceeding with their ethnic affiliations and this has "de-legitimized" your otherwise legitimate concern. And just for your information, price of gas has gone up in all of Europe significantly and even in the Middle East. Gas has gone up by 50% in Saudi Arabia of all places-from 16 cents per liter to 24 cents per liter. I'm an MD with 2PhDs in engineering (Chemical & Biological Eng., and Biomedical Eng.) from two good schools(both Ivy league) and not an economist, so, I could be wrong but I'm sure there is no correlation between prices going down on the world market and price reduction in goods and services when it comes to developing countries and some emerging economies. I stand to be corrected but I do have a fair number of friends with enviable business credentials from graduate school that share similar opinion when it comes to the economy.

Are there no measures in ur USA to prevent congestion on roads? Have you ever heard of congestion charges? When fuel prices are increased, the targets are never the poor. The increase in trotro fares as a result of this fuel increase is insignificant. The benefit of controlling congestion far outweighs the cost of increasing fuel prices to the poor. The increased revenue from fuel price increase can also help build more interchanges to help reduce congestion to the benefit of all including the poor. Less cars on the street is also good for the environment. Did this primitive bush animal listen to the MP or just read about what he said and decided it was a good opportunity to attack his tribe since he satisfies his frequent hunger and anger by attacking non- asanthiefuo,especially ewes,northerners and other non akans.
