Ghana is paying six times its total oil revenue as interest on the country’s total public debt stock; that’s the computation done by former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
“We’ll reach GHC99billion by the end of this year,” the Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the biggest opposition Party said in a post-budget presentation interview with Richard Sky of Citi FM.
“The interest on this debt alone is going to be six times Ghana’s oil revenue,” Dr Bawumia said.
“When we found oil, we were happy that we found oil, but the borrowing of this Government has compromised the whole oil discovery; you need six times our oil revenue just to pay interest on the debt, not even capital, so, it is a really sad development,” he complained.

If Mahama hadn't stolen the nomination from his own party in 2012, I don't think NDC would have nominated and endorsed someone accused of inflating the price of airplanes by millions of dollars corruptly as their presidential candidate. After the undemocratic nomination and fictitious endorsement, he slept in bed with the EC and Atuguba to steal the verdict of Ghanaians and become president fraudulently.
Unfortunately, the Orwellian, undemocratic and one candidate contests used to be seen in the erstwhile Soviet Union has been forced on the NDC party again. After pushing out Mr. George Boateng violently and tagging him with insanity for daring to contest the slot with Mahama, the biggest patapaa in Ghana has now been declared a candidate elect unopposed fraudulently. The truth is that, Mr. Mahama is undemocratic communist relic doing everything to cling to power, and Ghanaians would not allow him to rig the elections again as he did in 2012

Communist dictatorship is manifested when the people are denied of any choice except one candidate deliberately imposed on them by those in power. Nobody does that except the Old Soviet Union, North Korea and communist leaning regimes like Mahama and his NDC communist relics.
NPP believes in multiparty democracy, the rule of law and free market. NDC, on the other hand, is undemocratic illegitimate party rooted from Cuban style communist dictatorship occupying Ghana dictatorially since 1981.

Mahama will win the next election with a landslide so say some shallow-minded NDC goons. They cannot see the incompetence and the abysmal performance of their leader who have squandered more money than any leader in our history.
Why is Mahama incompetent? Now, what leader in his right frame of mind, will turn away an investor with a huge amount of $200 dollars to be invested in the Akwatia diamond mines and rather give the contract to a Ghanaian who offers only $17 million? It is only a stupid, idiot, swine, dick-head motherfucker type leader like Mahama who will act that silly. Now, do you see how stupid Mahama is?
Mahama and NDC had destroyed all the social programs Kufuor's administration put in place before leaving with some stupid excuse that there is no money to sustain them. Hello? But they can give out money on a sliver platter to people like Woyome, Sada, Isofoton etc.
Ghanaians are gradually waking up from their slumber and very soon, they will understand what some of their leaders have done to cause untold and unbearable hardship to their living standard., Mahama especially.
Imagine the 61,000 who cast their vote against Mahama can do that during the presidential election. Losing that figure in the general election means, a total defeat and I hope those people will still hold on to their posture and send Mahama packing from the Jubilee House.

Can any of the abundant ignorant and intellectually dishonest critics of Mahama name just one true democratic nation where an incumbent or sitting president or Prime minister had 100 percent vote of confidence as the party leader? Where? Was it in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, where?
I'm not a card carrying or closet member of the NDC and do not want to be but the ignorance of an NPP party claiming to be a party of most of Ghana's intellectuals is beyond comprehension. It is a shame to read internet postings by NPP fanatics and zealots who consistently put on display their contempt for the truth with their unprincipled and illogical stance all while wrapped up in democratic slogans. I ask of all you dimwits this question: is it not preferable to have a sitting president have unfavorable rating than to have a 100 percent approval rating that came by intimidation and at the expense of life of some members? Did we not have people assaulted to death in the NPP during their internal wrangling? Do we not have accusations of stealing and mismanagement charges and counter charges in the NPP today? Do we not have revocation of membership in the NPP for daring to be democratic in a dictatorial NPP leadership busy trying to sell a banana republic ideas as democratic ideals? We have small minds at work in Ghana and it's not coming by way of smaller political parties but by and from the NPP and NDC and their fight to visit upon Ghanaians a delusional democracy.

NPPites are funny!! Incompetence & Corruption? Who sold Ghana Telecom for 60% of the independently assessed value $900M instead of $1500M while throwing VRA fiber optic network into the bargain for free??!! Who corruptly, incompetently, fraudulently and scandalously signed a 10/90 production agreement when the 40/60 for our oil while countenacing a finders fee demand of 2% to be imposed on our paltry 10% share of production??!! Who sold a drillship to pay a dubious judgement debt claim that NADAA as A-G failed to defend??!! Who shoved aside the the relevant ministry to make KT Hammond the paymaster on that dubious GNPC judgement debt and we paid $19.5M rather $14.4M while diverting $3.5M to unauthorized accounts where those funds disappeared??!! Under whom did the whole judgement debt saga commence??!! Finally which president dismissed gargantuan corruption on his watch with the asinine comment but revelatory comment "corruption is as old as humanity" while handing out homes and plots to their political operatives and family members while allotting choice state bungalows and plots to the likes of Obetsebi-Lamptey??!! Whaat? I can't hear you NPPites, are you dumbstruck? No I do hear some RATS SQUEAKING!!
