If Mahama hadn't stolen the nomination from his own party, I don't think NDC would have nominated and endorsed someone accused of inflating the price of airplanes by millions of dollars corruptly as their presidential candidate. After the undemocratic nomination and fictitious endorsement, he then slept in bed with the EC and Atugubah to steal the verdict of Ghanaians and become president fraudulently.
Unfortunately, the Orwellian undemocratic one candidate contest practiced in the erstwhile Soviet Union has been forced on the NDC party again, after violently pushing out Mr. George Boateng from the contest, and tagging him as insane for daring to contest the slot with the almighty Mahama.
Mahama is not only leading the most corrupt government in the history of Ghana, he himself is very corrupt and rotten to the core. Ghanaians will surly get rid of him in 2016 even if he is still in bed with the EC. The corrupt judges have now been exposed and Ghanaians too are fed up with his corrupt and under-performing government. As Mr. Amidu rightly pointed out, he is soiling the good name of northerners.

Ghana is paying six times its total oil revenue as interest on the country’s total public debt stock; that’s the computation done by former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
“We’ll reach GHC99billion by the end of this year,” the Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the biggest opposition Party said in a post-budget presentation interview with Richard Sky of Citi FM.
“The interest on this debt alone is going to be six times Ghana’s oil revenue,” Dr Bawumia said.
“When we found oil, we were happy that we found oil, but the borrowing of this Government has compromised the whole oil discovery; you need six times our oil revenue just to pay interest on the debt, not even capital, so, it is a really sad development,” he complained.

President Mahama's tirade about who is competent to judge him as President is infantile. The voters of Ghana have every right to criticize his administration as well as his style of governance. If he tows that line of argument then it is clear that he wasn't genuinely elected by Ghanaian voters, because the only people who can criticize him are the people of Ghana who either voted or did not note for him. Former Presidents Rawlings and Kuffour are citizens just as any ordinary citizens of Ghana. They are no better than any one else in Ghana. If the President continues his belligerent line of argument, then the opposition's claim that he wasn't genuinely elected to be President of Ghana is true. As an elected leader you listen and take advice from those who criticize you. I have read several of the issues raised by Dr. Bawumia against the administration. Never has he cast any insinuation against the person of President Mahama. It has all been about the policies and style of his governance. President Mahama must take such criticisms in good faith so that he can become a better President. That's my little advice to the President.

Of course, President John Mahama is not beyond criticism. Personally, I'm unimpressed with President Mahama's personal attack on Dr Bawumia. Dr Bawumia has every right to criticise President Mahama's "incompetent" leadership, his economic policies and management of the country. Despite President Mahama's ill-judged attack on Dr Bawumia, his political opponent and critic, this piece cannot be used to justify that.
Personally, I respect and admire Dr Bawumia's intellectual ability but please, spare us this "Oxbridge-schooled" nonsense! Having attended Oxford does not mean one posses the sharpest mind in the country. After all, there're many Ghanaians educated in other universities with stunning academic credentials and sparkling intellectual rigor who have excelled in professional life than many of those who had first-class honours degree and PhD from Oxford. Example, Oxbridge-educated ex-President Kufour proves a point. Mr John. A. Kufour can't be said to academically gifted or legal luminary. There is a critical difference showcasing 'elitism' about academic institution and one's intellectual capacity! Oxbridge might make you feel smart but that doesn't mean you're reasonably so.
If you think President John Mahama is 'under-educated' or 'semi-intellectual', tell me how many world leaders achieved a "Congratulatory First Class" at university? After all, our politicians don't need to acquire 'First Class Oxford/Ivy League degrees' as indication of their ability to become leader of the country.
