For people like you, I always tell them I prefer to be called a fool than an ignorant moron who can't use his brains to discern the simple truths about the world taught in other subjects, from archaeology through history, even religion, to zoology!

I don't know what's the purpose of this article. If a day of national prayer is called, and those who believe in such things heed that call, then those people who don't believe in such things will go about their normal duties or find something else to do. What's spectacular about that as a news item?
Me I don't believe God (if he exists at all) interferes in the affairs of men who ask him to thru prayer. But why should I go about calling myself atheist or this or that?
All these belief in God or disbelief is silly to me. We're just nature's creatures who live and die and that's all. Nothing else. There's nothing so special about us that we alone will continue living after we are dead.
