Congrats Mr Kennedy for this wonderful piece on the Anas video. As you have rightly stated, Anas is holding a mirror to the faces of all of us

I like this article. It is informing. I agree with you on many of the things you said especially the fact that churches must choose people of good character and moral value to chair occasions and not always people with wealth. Sometimes the churches dont even know how these people make their wealth.

Anas exposed the face of greed brought on by a society that shunned love of community and nation with individual property seeking ideology in its place. Some of the sad excuses against the good and welfare of community interest range from there is no innovation or motivation for creativity when there are no rewards for individual achievements through claims of ungodly principles of socialism to the inefficiencies. Yet the flaws we see are byproducts of property seeking society which we dare not attribute to what we prayed for and got.
Is it not greed that motivates members of parliament to assign unto themselves the wages/salaries, perks, retirement and benefit packages along with influence peddling just to be in line with comparable position in developed nation while they ignore wages and benefits of the middle and low income relative counterparts in developed nations? And with parliament setting the stage for greed to be normalized in the Ghanaian society is it not a natural progression to see every profession seek the ultimate riches if they cannot earn via wages/salaries? The mirror as you put it Dr. Kennedy, is just for you and the bunch who preach greed masked in all the fancy terms and ideologies of the NPP ideals of property seeking society or bust.

Didn't the spouses and immediate family members of the judges know they made money from the "sale of justice"? And their pastors? didn;t it occur to them that the affluent lifestyles were questionable?
We have our traders using false weights and measures. The fuel pump is tweaked and on top of that the fuel attendant will shortchange you if you are not vigilant. And sometimes the fuel is diluted and substandard.
The butcher's scale in Malata market has been calibrated such that 1 pound of meat is indeed not 1 pound. The tomato seller creates a hole in the paint container and deceives you into thinking the bowl is full. The gari seller has a dented olonka can. The kontomire seller packs dead and wizened leaves in the middle of the kontomire pack. The teacher steals school supplies, the mate takes chobo, the house help steals from the madam and the tailor steals time, resources and customers from the business owner. The list goes on and on and on and it stretches to outright criminal conducts as faking medicines, selling and using expired/rotten food items in food preparations. All for the love of money!
Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach. God please help Ghana
