Bravo ECG. But this information is long over due. The issue about switching surges is very worrying especially to some of us who understands electricity and knows the consequences of interrupting inductive circuits. We hope that the government's long term solution to the energy crises would materialized in order for Ghanaians to perpetually come out of this "Dumsorization" phenomenon.

Liman was in power for only two years after taking over from the same military that had destroyed the economy, and Rawlings overthrew his government after that short period claiming that he had failed. Surprisingly, the first 5 years of Rawlings misrule was far worse than the two years of Liman, and struggled with the economy for 20 years without facing any firing squad.

Not sure how a "ECG engineer's perspective" gets even a pass from us when the engineer does not bother to discuss government and industry debts/outstanding obligations, under "CASH FLOW".
Maybe our ECG engineer might come back and explain why those unpaid debts is not a problem for ECG.
And, even if the ECG owes VRA in equal amount, we can infer ECG would improve its credit worthiness if they paid VRA, and that would allow ECG to sell more as VRA will be able to produce more.
In that context, we do not see the inability of the ECG to sell more because of load-shedding as an acute problem when the government and industry do not/will not pay.
We would have expected the ECG engineer to talk a bit more on those points. Instead "Corporate Image" is given more electronic ink than "Cash Flow".
Further, what ass of a law says the ECG must extend services when those new services are not paying total cost for the extension(s)?
Finally, we want to know why the VRA has just 2MW of Solar Power today, in this Solar Age?
In other words, conceptually, what does the ECG and its management think the ECG is?
