Love your article. I personally don't believe that the recycling companies in Ghana are doing much at all. If u run a search on recycling Ghana the number listed is no real reflection of what is actually on the ground. But that's another matter. waste managent on the other hand is brass but there's not much happening there. There was a special report on how Chinese and Danish companies had set up waste recycling to transform waste collection with some chemicals and starches, but due to bad governance, the cash was misappropriated whereas it would have been a cash generator.. The logic of it all is mind boggling . As far as I know, it would be best to get a true picture of what recycling companies can actually do because the TVs , fridges, cars, and so many utensils all use plastics. It is therefore premature for Mahama to ban plastics without a plan to deal with the current situation. A bit like putting the cart before the horse.

So it's not James alone. It's Ghanaians who are plain filty Abd don't have a clue how to manage waste. The developed nations manage waste so go ask then on his to do do. If you cannot do so then build trash burning furnaces in every neighborhood so resident will dump and burn all trash there.
