Again Bishop Osei Bonsu is the bishop of Konongo-Mampong and not Kumasi. Know your facts and avoid distortions in public. For the rest I leave it to the Conference you addressed.

This is a stupid article. The President cannot invite every Pastor in Ghana to mediate a dispute between factions in the Party.
The President invited Pastors he thought are respected in society but he cannot invite all respected Pastors or every Pastor in his house. The President will need the whole Accra Sports stadium if he has to invite all Pastors in Ghana but that is not how things are done.
He has the right to invite whomever he wants and if this has not gone well with Ndc people, who cares?

As a baptised, confirmed and practising Roman Catholic, I would have to disagree with your criticism of Archbishop Charles Palmer-Buckle of partisanship for attending a private meeting at the request of ex-President Kufour[himself, a Catholic]. Archbishop Charles Palmer-Buckle, Rev. Emmanuel Martey and Rev. Pastor Mensah Otabil are eminent, well-respected Ghanaians and Christian leaders in the country, regardless of their political consciences. Being Archbishop/Moderator/Pastor is not just about church leadership. They've social responsibilities too.
Responding to a need for reconciliation and mediation of the NPP form part of the spiritual, liturgical and pastoral mission of the Clergy, which the Archbishop is no exception. It is therefore ridiculous and nonsense to suggest that Archbishop Charles Palmer-Buckle is sympathetic to NPP for attending that private meeting. How can the Archbishop preach for unity, peace and a cohesive society but refuse to mediate in a private meeting intended for the unity of a party?
Archbishop Charles Palmer-Buckle doesn't need the authority of the Bishops' Conference to attend a private meeting as he was not representing his fellow Bishops from the various Dioceses.

I think the Bishop should clarify his participation in that meeting. If the clergy should not be seen to be playing partisan politics, then he cannot be attending meetings of a particular "partisan" party. It does not speak good of him even he is not a sympathizer of the party. He should have stayed clear of the meeting once he knew its nature.

You've made an excellent point, Lonto - boy. The thing is, you're among the few who can make the distinction between his social responsibility and political (un) affiliations. While you at it, could you also question your bishop what he is doing to stop corruption and sexual deviancy among his clerics? I have no serious objections to his involvement in the conflict-riven NPP. I'm more concerned about how his priests are enriching themselves at the expense of the lay faithful. Shouldn't he be more worried about that?

Let me make it clear here,NPP was not formed by religiuos leaders and does not need religious leaders to settle their problems for them.Apparently, the meeting was useless,it did not achieve its objective,it has rather worsen the crisis within the NPP.It is not the religious leaders who are creating problems for the party,it's about their own political stupidity that is causing problems for them.As politicians, they should be able to identify the problem and deal with it smoothly without the clergy. Now listen, the problem in NPP is clearly between Kuffour's faction and Nana Addo's faction so what is the logic for Kuffour to invite the clergy to mediate peace for them? Can't he Kuffour and Nana Addo themselves reason up?Ofcourse, there may be some other low profile factions as well who are a bit moderate, can't they also see what their party is going through? It's a pity, you guys in the NPP are not serious that's why I always say that NPP has no effective campaign strategy.NPP is dead.Thank you.

The Pope shd immediately sack him before NDC members who are Voltarians, Westeners, Gas, Brongs, Northerners and Fantes defect from the Catholic church. 8 regions for u.
As for Pastor Dr. MENSAH Otabil, he shd bury his head and face which has lost respect in PINK SHITS.
Prof Matey shd also be sacked from the Presby church before he shits the pink shits in his greedy stomach unto the church. He alone cannot betray the Presby church bcos of his stomach. Moderator indeed !!!! 'Nyansa fuor eeeeeeeih !!!!
