There is no need for Kwesi to write this. Perhaps he thinks his last paragraph clinches it - that we should be proud that Africans have connections to the origins of knowledge. But what we Africans should rather be doing is bowing down our heads in utter shame. Today's realities show that we Africans are dead last in EVERY progressive thing in the world. We cannot even feed our citizens! "Common food for man to eat in Africa nkor? Ino dey!"
There is one African scientist in NASA and we are blowing our heads off for what? Other parts of the world are far ahead of us in almost everything.

Mathematics is the beginning of knowledge,it's the basis for Science and Technology. If you look at our traditions and culture in Ghana, you can see that we are very poor in Maths.I think this explains why we don't cherish physics, astronomy and geometry thus very weak in technology.Unless we address this simple facts of life,we cannot pull up our optimal potentials.Thank you.
