Great article, very inspiring indeed. It goes to show that there is hope in Nima despite the gigantic challenges that lay within.

Good piece and a good initiative taken to improve the situation in Nima.
I wish and pray that other Zongo communities also takes that step so as to change the conditions pertaining to Zongo communities.

It is about time. Seems like all the Zongos are experiencing a downward trend that needs to be checked. The level of lawlessness achieved with impunity is frightening. I grew up in a Zongo still find it very fascinating place when I visit Ghana. So much is being lost now. There is no respect for anything and anybody. A Teenage motorbike rider almost ran me and my Mum down on a sidewalk and was upset we did not give way. When I complained, I was informed that was the norm.
People keep asking me why I don't cut my connection. Well, there is something fascinating about a Zongo if you grew up there that will keep you going back despite all its faults. There are nice folks in the Zongo too.
