Indeed, Ghanaians would see pigs, goats and cows grazing on the planet Jupiter than see John Mahama fight corruption and you can ask him why since Rev. Agbozo said; today, 27th April, should start the period of confession.

We will say Mahama and Bagbin are not doing enough to reign in corruption and a spoils system that has gone astray!
That they are not doing enough to get qualified people to do the government's business.
That they are not doing enough to promote transparency in governance.
That they have to pass the FOI bill without further delay.
All that, we can say!

Tell me Otto, which present and past government is not useless in fighting corruption?
JJ Rawlings lined up at the stakes former heads of state and some military officers and shot them for corruption. Yet he presided over one of the most corrupt governments of our time. PV Obeng, Tsatsu Tsikata, Ato Ahwoi, Nana Konadu, and many others became filthy rich under his watch. According to Forbes, Ato Ahwoi and Tsatsu Tsikata are placed number 7 and 12 respectively of the richest people in the country.
Despite declaring zero tolerance for corruption became the most corrupt president of our time. Kufour was never known to have business acumen or skills in private life. The only entrepreneurial attempt throughout his private life was small brick factory, which collapsed before it got started so to speak. But unlike Bill and Melinda Gates who worked their entire life to set up a Foundation to support specific pet causes, JA Kufuor after eight years in office as president of Ghana also has a Foundation - go figure. We know Bill and Melinda are funding their own Foundation - the have the means and wherewithal, but my question is: who is funding JA Kufuor's Foundation? Or is it an elaborate attempt to hide his loot? We will never know how much Kufuor's Foundation is worth because all private Foundations are tax exempt - no auditing or tax assessment is required - a perfect hideout for a thief. We need not mention Kwadwo Mpeani, Wereko Brobbey, Alex Kyerematen and others who became fabulously rich in the spate of 8 years of NPP's term of office.
In fairness, we cannot trace any corrupt practices to Atta Mills, but all we can say is that instead of heeding to Obama's appeal to strengthen our institutions to curb corruption - institutions such as the Judiciary, CHRAG, BNI, etc., Asomdwoehene merely paid lip service to it until his untimely death.
According Forbes list, the 20 richest people in Ghana includes first on the list; Ibrahim Mahama, $1.9 billion (brother of President Mahama); Second on the list is Alfred Mahama, $1.3 billion (another brother of President Mahama);and John Mahama himself is 5th on the list, $900 million. John Mahama has never been associated with any entrepreneurial venture except politics, yet he is worth almost one billion dollars.
If any leader says he cannot fight corruption alone, it means he is corrupt to the core. He has all the legislative means and the institutions to enforce it but he can't because he is corrupt.
