What SAS, Ahoohe, and the uncouth Sarpong and if I may add Adofo Rockson have in common is attention seeking. These persons especially SAS have what is called lack of emotional intelligence.
The emotionally immature person, however, has low levels of self-esteem and self-confidence and consequently feels insecure; to counter these feelings of insecurity they will spend a large proportion of their lives creating situations in which they become the centre of attention. It may be that the need for attention is inversely proportional to emotional maturity, therefore anyone indulging in attention-seeking behaviours is telling you how emotionally immature they are.
This is reflected in the articles of SAS and the rest who had taken forsaken academic balance for inappropriate language and words not befitting the intellectual. The emotionally mature person doesn't need to go hunting for attention these; they gain naturally from their daily life, especially from how they come across interacting with society. In these sense SAS and his fellow pedants have failed the test of being taken serious.

Nii Nai, dont despair. These asinine and deplorable sentiments are just the simple evidence of the last kicks of a dying horse. I can smell a sense of total desperation and of loss in the writers reckless and careless emotional outburst. I really wonder how old he is?
That a supposedly educated person who flagrantly flaunts his educational laurels can boldly and without a tinge of shame, present such a revolting and intellectually anemic article in public, says a lot for the Danquah adherents and ethnic cheer leaders. They must all begin to understand that traitors are not acceptable anywhere in any country in the world. Not even by their manipulators and instigators. They are normally just cheap worthless people who are just used and dumped in the same way that Danquah was used and unceremoniously dumped by the local station office of the CIA.
As I have mentioned in a contribution to Prof Lungus article yesterday, the more they fumble around trying to scour every particle of the historical landscape to find the most infinitesimal iota of credit to boost the poor and abysmal historical stature of their traitor mascot, the more they do damage to the man Danquah.
Ironically, the more they concurrently and in tandem, try to diminish and vilify the indestructible and invincible accomplishments of the Greatest African ever, the more they stimulate others to to bring forth hitherto unclear and unknown facts about the exceptional achievements of the Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the creator, founder and architect of the modern state of Ghana.
The French have a saying that says, "plus ca bouge, plus ca devient pire". Loosely meaning that, the more they fidget around, the more their case gets worse. 'Dr'. Samuel Adjei Sarfo please come again and again and again. By the time we have done with the likes of you, Danquah and all his other accomplices to treason would have been vividly exposed and firmly buried into permanent extinction.
We await your next outburst.

Emotional intelligence, that is a good one. I wonder where this Nii Nai learned this theory of Emotional intelligence. So people like me according to this lobotomized robot is that I lack emotional intelligence and for not swallowing the nonsense that Nkrumah did no wrong, then I am an attention seeker, waow!!!
From what I learned from my psychology classes, people who act on emotions usually act on impulse without thinking, so what does this emotional intelligence come from?
I lack emotional intelligence which this Nii Nai is full of but I will tell you readers that Nii Nai has a lot of Emotional stupidity. Anybody who believes that Nkrumah did no wrong and parrot that foolishness lacks independent thinking.
Nkrumah was a dictator and a brutal one. He brainwashed children to become snitches on their parents and neighbors.
Nkrumah was so tyrannical that his own Ministers threw bomb at him at Kulungugu.
Nkrumah plotted to get other African leaders killed and succeeded in getting Olympio of Togo killed. He tried to get Houphiet Boigny of Ivory Coast killed which he failed.
It is true he declared himself President for life and banned any party in Ghana apart from Cpp, one party rule was real.
I want these denizens of the street called Nkrumah apologists to tell me what options Nkrumah gave the citizens of Ghana apart from a coup d'tat to remove him if they wanted to do so.
Nkrumah was slave master and Ghana really did not become independent in 1957, we just changed slave masters from that of White colonial Masters to a brutal Black Dictator who treated Ghanaians worse than the white colonial masters. Ghana became really independent on February 24th, 1966 and we should thank Kotoka and Afrifa for our real independence.

If J.B Danquah hadn't been born at all patriotic Ghanaians would've still overthrown Nkrumah with or without the help of CIA because, his leftward tendencies had reached a point of no return. For God's sake, the Guy was a red sickle communist of the Stalin, Pol pot and Idi Amin type of human-being.
Every Ghanaian cursed the day that this dishonest, cunning man was invited to join the UGCC as its General Secretary and he proved to be the mother of all traitors in Ghana. It was, therefore, legitimate and even desirable to get rid of that callous, one party state and president for life communist dictator. I congratulate Kotoka and his friends once again for securing our second independence and delivering us from the grips of Kwame Nkrumah; one of the most dangerous human beings that ever lived on the African continent.

The so-called professor that tried to embellish Nkrumah's economic record needs to go to School all over again. These types of socialist arguments could deceive Ghanaians in the 50s and 60s, but they cannot do so now. Nkrumah was the first leader to introduce unsustainable debt into this country by borrowing massively and unnecessarily to finance his whims and caprices. It was a misfortune that we had such a person as president immediately after the independence. He didn't lay a realistic economic foundation for sustainable development of the young nation at all, considering the amount of money that was at his disposal in those days.
Ghana had about one billion dollars in reserve when Nkrumah took over the reins of government from the colonial master. Could you imagine what the value of 1bn dollars was in the early fifties? Again, after 2years of his rule, cocoa prices at the world market rocketed and increased four-fold. But contrary to any sound economic planning, he did not reserve any fraction of the windfall for a rainy day as the Whiteman had done with only one fourth of the revenues he got from cocoa. So, what did Nkrumah do with all the revenue he got from the astronomical cocoa prices, and the big reserve he inherited that took many years to build for our financial stability and sustainable development?
The man just went on a spending spree both in Ghana and around the world, throwing his weight about and talking big. So when the cocoa prices fell close to the end of his rule, he was quick to point accusing fingers at the West, blaming them for manipulating cocoa prices to sabotage the economy of Ghana and overthrow his government. Finally, after misusing all the money mainly on useless prestigious projects, failed communist agricultural projects and whimsical mad rush industrialization projects that did not withstand the test of time, he also burdened the young nation with another billion dollars' debt before he was forced out of the country.
The truth is that, Nkrumah's ideas were unsuitable for growing the economy since the communist system lucks mechanisms and incentives that release energies of the people to create wealth. He, therefore, met a rich and confident country with huge potentials, and left it nearly bankrupt in some few years as a result of gross mismanagement.

Yes indeed, listen to the imperialist goon who has been whipped into such a terrible state of subservience and compliant frenzy that he has completely lost his marbles.
He publicly states in black and white that "(Nkrumah was) a brutal Black Dictator who treated Ghanaians worse than the white colonial masters."
He also states that "... Ghana became really independent on February 24th, 1966 and we should thank Kotoka and Afrifa for our real independence."
Ladies and gentlemen of this forum, this person, supposedly an African, whose race suffered from multiple counts of racial genocide and mass extermination under slavery and colonialism for 500 years, claims to have studied psychology. I am inclined to think that perhaps it was some kind of basic psychology classes that were introduced in his primary school days. If however, he truly claims that he did indeed study psychology at the tertiary level, I dare him to boldly come out to tell all of us on this platform which tertiary institution it is that could have admitted and schooled such an unrepentant slave whose mind has been so savagely and callously mutilated and dislocated from all self-respect, self-esteem and common-sense by his slave-masters.
Of course I do not believe that even the pathetic likes of Mahmoud, or S. Adjei Sarfo will take him serious on the substance of his emotional vituperation and vulgar expletives but hey!, we could all take a cue from how senseless hatred can reduce an ordinary human being into an inanimate, mindless, moronic brute. It really is a pity.
On hindsight, and pondering over how the brains of people like Sarpong, SAS, Ahoofe and Mahmoud tick, one can now begin to understand how the mind of a simple Akyem native called Danquah, degenerated into the monstrous evil that spiked and throttled the entire forward march of the long oppressed people of Africa to freedom.
Sarpong even has the impudence and the cheek to describe an obviously more intelligent contributor as a lobotomized robot. The only people who are a photofit of that description on this platform, are the so-called doctorate holder in law who teaches in a secondary school and calls himself Samuel Adjei Sarfo, then the politically mechanized robot called Mahmoud whose 2 kilobyte memory only has enough space to be programmed to repeat the same gibberish over and over again, and then he himself Sarpong, a master of false illusions - and oh, I almost forgot Ahoofe the sado-masochistic mad hatter who gets multiple orgasms when he is routinely bashed on this platform. The four of them possess the kind of mindset that would have served Danquah well in his terrorist escapades.
These are African people who have never breathed a word of disgust or even dismay against the over 500 years of mayhem, plunder and and murder that was committed by their beloved slave-masters and during which, not less than 20 million Africans were slaughtered like animals for simply resisting slavery, oppression, racial genocide and colonialism.
With the connivance of tribal chiefs who had the menial mentality of the likes of Dr SAS, Mahmoud, Sarpong and Ahoofe, over 200 million Africans were hunted, trapped, caught and tied up like animals and shipped away like cattle to unknown hostile lands to become slaves and never again to reconcile with their original native lands, their loved ones, their families, their tribal clans and their traditional ties.

These Nkrumahists and Danquahists are so full of hate that in trying to outdo each other by portraying their own tin-god as an angel whose nemesis is the doing of the other close their eyes to any good sides of either Nkrumah or Danquah. That Nkrumah was a dictator who imprisoned people(not only Danquah) without trial is a fact and that Danquah was a CIA agent who tried to subvert the legitimate government of his country is also a fact but both devils each had something good going for him. So to say that Nkrumah brought nothing to the table is a gross misstatement. I don't believe the UGCC was daft enough to invite someone who had nothing to offer to be their Secretary-general. Regarding dictatorship, even my academic (not political) mentor Prof. K A Busia, who was considered an ardent proponent of Democracy in Ghana, exhibited elements of dictatorship during his brief 27 months in office as Prime Minister. You remember the 'NO COURT' decree? They are all the same !

Look at you! This is an article well-argued and depicting the truth about us as a people. Indeed my heart bleeds when I realise that many of my compatriots seem to be happy if their freedoms are taken from them by dictators. When you people say that Nkrumah needed to be a dictator because Ghanaians at the point were not ready for democracy, don't you realise you are saying Nkrumah did not believe in his own so-called 'independence now' slogan. Every sound-thinking person , not doing propaganda or not attempting to salvage an unworkable ideology, would recognise that the substitution of colonialism with African tyranny was wrong! It was inexcusable! When you turn logic upside down and valorise tyrants and demonise those who resisted oppression so that you could enjoy the freedom you and Kwesi Pratt enjoy today, you make us all in the image of our folk hero - Kwaku Ananse. Listen to the wise words of SAS; You novices!

Was J.B. Danquah tried in any court of law? Was he implicated in the Kulungugu bombing? If no, why was he jailed and for what reason?
Nkrumah was the first traitor. Why? After somebody helped him come back to the Gold Coast to help in the independent struggle, he hoodwinked those people and formed his own party and the rest was history. He betrayed those who helped him meaning, he was a traitor.
My next question is, why did he think he can unite Africa at that time where the colonial powers have fixated their attention on the continent? To me, there is no way for him to do that and all the efforts he put in that failed venture should have been focused on developing Ghana to the envy of all.

A good leader is the one who lays a foundation of love, compassion, respect for the dignity and inviolable rights fellow men and above all deep reverence and faith in God. Kwame Nkrumah never showed any of these qualities but rather betrayal, ingratitude and plain wickedness to those who brought him from abroad. Sadly the so-called Nkrumaist have never faced the fact that causing great evil of destroying the fundamental human rights of fellow men in the name of 'security and development' is untenable no matter what. These Nkrumaist in an effort to defend Nkrumah most of the time resort to insults instead of arguing logically and with common sense, betraying their own immoral standing. family grudge has eaten away any sense he has left. The mistake most of us made was we thought you actually new what you were talking about. It is becoming clear that not only are you ignorant of what you're claiming but you also argue like a child. You are obtuse and incredibly insipid. One can say you are stuck at one gear. That of stupidity. You remind me of the hacks on Fox News and the climate change deniers. When you stupid point is rebutted and can't come up with a congent rebuttal? Say another stupid thing. And hope your earlier stupid claim will be forgotten. That has been you tactic. Thankfully the world doesn't operate like that. That is why with a doctorate you are still an ordinary teacher. By calling Danquah osagyefo, you betray your stupidity and insanity. It's like calling Benedict Arnold, George Washington or the father of US. It doesn't change a damn thing except betray the hopelessness of the mind behind it. Tragic and pathetic. For someone who purports to have had an education, you are a sad excuse and a proof that educating an ashanti or akyem man is a waste of money and time. They cant seperate themselves from their petty tribal and backward behaviour. Like a pig you will always go back to your mud.

I think we should posthumously award JB the title "Osagyefo" so as to stop these senseless diatribes coming from people like samuel adjei sarfo who sounds like someone who forgot to take his pills in the morning. I'm sorry we cannot help him; he should always remember to take his pills and again stick to his Doctor's advice.
This Samuel adjei asafo guy and his group of CIA agents, saboteurs and nation wreckers are the reason Ghana and Africa are lagging behind in economic development. They have sold Ghana and the continent to their colonial masters. Their only charge against Nkrumah was/is his role in delaying the mass sale of Ghana and Africa to their slave masters. Hence such hatred for anything and everything about Nkrumah. Shame on you saboteurs.
Wonders shall never end; that is indeed true, wooow!!

Your gross social insensitivity and lack of classic public relations may cost NPP 2016 election. Currently Ghana has less than 15% good human resources. NPP and NDC parties are both incompetence and Fraud. Over 85% appointees in any of these two parties are not Nationalists and you have the audacity to sing God bless our home land. God want you to truthfully and sincerely manage human resource and all Natural resources carefully. If you want Creativity and Inventions, you better off Educating the population in their Mother Tongue. Ghana has heavily invested in another Country's Language and you know very well that less than a third of our population understands this foreign tongue. Ghanaians have always voted base on likable instead of best policies and governance. Start looking for Mathematicians and Physicists to help solve our heaped problems.

Dr. SAS, your argumentation to discredit Osagyefo Dr. Kwame NKRUMAH is really pitiful, and does not hold water.
In my last encounter with you I referred to you as a snollygoster, as a politician (though you are not yet one) whose actions are motivated by self-interest rather than by high principles.
I see you as warming yourself to be accepted by the Danquahists, eventually to become the NPP Attorney-General.
Referring to Nkrumah as Kwaku Ananse came from Prince Kwasi ADADE (Ofie), who refers to Nkurumah as Francis Kofi Nwiah "the trickster extraordinaire". And Kwame Nkrumah has succeeded in turning the whole nation and African nations into never do well tricksters.
Now you know, whether literally or figuratively, this not true.
Then you had the nerve to refer to Dr. Richard D. Mahoney as "one Mahoney".
You wouldn't even acknowledge him as the author of JFK: Ordeal in Africa.
And that Richard Mahogany was educated at Achimota School, at Princeton University, Johns Hopkins University and Arizona State University. He has also taught at Oxford University. Harvard University and Beijing University, would such a person lie about J.B. Danquah as a CIA agent?
Stay with your practice as a lawyer, and please don't prevaricate in other to gain a position.

" You don't compare Nkrumah with somebody like Idi Amin. No way", said Wole Soyinka.
And what about Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore, who in building his country used dictatorial means to get rid of all opposition;
for example, Lee Kuan Yew did not hesitate to put Lin Chin-Siong behind bars from where Mr. Sing died of heart attack.
Singaporeans are not complaining now of Mr. Yew's brutal dictatorship because Singapore rose to achieve middle income status.
From hind sight, may be Nkrumah should have been more strict with his opponents.
The end , in Singapore case, did justified means.

If the presumption is that anything passed by Parliament is good and sacrosanct then nobody should blame Adolf Hitler for anything. The reason is that there was no decision that was taken by Hitler without Parliamentary approval. Therefore if the so called Nkrumaist are justifying the buffoonery of one party state, detention without trial and life president on the grounds that there was a referendum to approve it or that parliament approved it, then nobody should blame Hitler for anything. The true value of any policy or any leadership decision does not only lie in the immediate impact of such decision, but the sustainability of that policy in the horizon of time and the policy's ability to stand the test of time. Today how many of the Nkrumaist will support any proposal for one party state, President for life or detention without trial? if those policies were good at the time of Nkrumah as the Nkrumaist would want us to accept, then they should hold good today.

I have been writing that the thought of most Ghanaian intellectuals reflect the world outlook in the country they reside, the United States of America. Ananse in Ghanaian stories is an anti-hero, thus it is only a Ghanaian with the elfish mind that takes Ananse or Ayiyi as a hero. Ananse stories are composed with the view of exposing wickedness, greediness, selfishness and foolishness (for instance when Ananse run round a fish pond and instead of picking fish into his basket torch it with his stick saying this is mine. The spirit that held the water in the pond in its mouth became tired, released it and Ananse found himself floating on the water with the fish swimming around him).
It is the Ananse type of state that will seat on the Congo river for decades and refuse to provide the people of Africa power. It is the Ananse type of government and state who will employ double standard and cynicism to issues. And it is the same type of government which has the erroneous view that it is the best in the world that other people, though adults like him should take order from him.
The fact is that the UN said that sovereignty reside with the people, thus it is based on that that friends of the U.S. have monarchies where one family rule so long as that state exist, and not in the life time of on person. That is accepted as the sovereign will of the people, including that of Britain and her colonies and no one question that. Unless the world is an animal farm, then Ghanaians do not have the right to what the people of the British empire enjoy, the least, not the whole family, but a life president. Samule Adjei-Sarfo, a lot has passed under the bride since 1966 and let us all let sleeping dogs just lie because someone will one day decide to restore the constitutionality that existed before 24/2/1966. That I can assure you will be a must if people continue to let sleeping dogs wake-up and bark.

It is apparent that Dr. SAS has only recently taken to outclass Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr. as the leading Nkrumah basher in our modern Media. But both share a goal that numerous observers, including me, have reasons to believe they have set for themselves--that is, using Nkrumah bashing to ride to prominence among the NPP leadership to secure favors for possible appointments in a likely NPP Regime after the Elections. Such a supposition becomes clearer and more credible if we notice that it is only when Elections are knocking on our doors that these two folks elevate their scourge of Nkrumah.
But a more conspicuous characteristic the two share is the fact that they claim their family members were immediate victims of Nkrumah's brutalities. So, are they truly committed educators of the highest Academic degrees wanting to teach us what Democracy is, and why we should perpetually reject Nkrumah and anything he ever did for Ghana? Or, these two blokes are dedicating their anti-Nkrumah crusade to some personal ambition?
We should not simply assume that these scholars are only spewing their vitriolic hatred for Nkrumah and all who share some sympathies for the late President out of their 'exquisite' Academic enlightenment they want to educate us with, or their love of Democracy per se.
We see the efforts of Dr. SAS to string up all the glorious adjectives of a Democratic system, and the horrible sordid ones for a dictatorship to portray how deep-felt his abhorrence to any dictatorship is. But folks already know these about the two systems. What we do not hear from Dr. SAS is how Democracy is practiced under their favored Politicians they could have cited for examples.
Even under Dr. Busia's Premiership in Ghana, he demonstrated some of the very attributes of dictatorship that Dr. SAS and Okoampa-Ahoofe have been criticizing Nkrumah of. But you would not hear any of them mention that.
Neither would we hear the same self-proclaiming champions of Democracy criticizing the dictatorial Traditional leadership whose personal and family interests Danquah and his acolytes were really struggling to preserve to the detriment of all.
Dr. SAS, would rather have us believe that any commonsensical identification of why Democracy in Africa, and Ghana in particular, is not manifesting as well as in the West, 60 years after Nkrumah, is illogical, and even an unacceptable Academic horror. Only Dr. SAS and Okoampa-Ahoofe have the exclusive knowledge and appreciation of Democracy and Nkrumah's faults-- the two want us to accept.
Anyone daring to question their conveniently slanted analyses is denigrated and dumped upon a heap of epithets.
It is obvious Dr. SAS believes the absence of dictatorship alone solves our Political difficulties in building the Nation. And so, our failure to do so must be wholly the fault of Nkrumah's.
It must be well noted that the same Dr. SAS who has been denouncing others for dousing adulations on Nkrumah and offering prestigious appellations on him, finds it appropriate to call Danquah "Osagyefo", an appellation the Nkrumahists have been widely using to describe Nkrumah.
There it is, in plain view. One of the very reasons for Dr. SAS' hatred for Nkrumah...it is sheer jealousy! The jealous rage that we often see in those who would rather have their relatives accorded the highest honor in the Nation is what is also driving Dr. SAS.
It shameful indeed.

Come on, be objective. The Danquah-Busia people have always accepted that Busia's "No Court, No Court" outburst was wrong and a blot on the democratic credentials of the group. You should own up to the fact that PDA was WRONG, that Kwame Nkrumah could have done a lot better with the vast resources he inherited than he did, and that we need as a nation, to admit that, learn from it and move on.
Where did Dr SAS ever say that his family suffered under PDA. As a citizen of Ghana, is there anything that prevents him from commenting on something that was inimical to the wellbeing of the vast majority of Ghanaians?
Our chieftaincy system is very democratic, and as an Akan, you should know that. At least in Fantiland, the Asafo Company MUST accept the Queen mother's nomination for a new chief, otherwise it is a non-starter. At the annual meeting of the town, everybody aged 18 and above, including women, can contribute to the debate on everything that the chief and his elders bring to the floor. At the end of the discussion, it is the majority view that carries the day. That is native democracy. That is what Dr SAS has been talking about.
There have been shortcomings in the terms of everyone of our past leaders, with Kwame Nkrumah being the chief culprit. We have to accept those shortcomings and move on. It is because of the fact that we do not seem to be learning from our experiences that our country is marching backward all the time.
Someone once said that if you ever meet a Gambian doctor working in Ghana, it means he has been posted there by the UN or some other international agency. In other words, even Gambia treats its doctors better than Ghana does its doctors.
Our governments have been getting away with murder because our leaders are not practising democracy the way it should be. That is Dr SAS's beef!

It is a fact that members of the NPP take those views even into intellectual forums like lectures.
Let us not make democracy and corruption so cheap, that a person is not democratic and corrupt just because we do not agree with his socioeconomic world outlook. In the U.S. any other person who did not hold the view of the rest of the world subordinating themselves to the U.S. is not democratic and corrupt. Most poor people, of which I am one, show gratitude to their benefactors. Kwame Nkrumah was desperate in London. Kwesi Lamptey gave him room and board and he jailed him under PDA. He was stranded in London, unable to continue with his studies, Ako Adjei recommended and he was given a passage to Ghana by Paa Grant who also fed and housed him. He jailed Ako Adjei and put Paa Grant under house arrest.
When he was homeless and sleeping in the printing press, Gbedemah put him up in his home, he later campaigned for him when he was in prison, but the first opportunity he got, he tried to imprison Gbedemah under PDA.
That is what Dr SAS called ingratitude. The name "Convention" was known by everybody in the Gold Coast, including illiterates, as "the party of independence", that is why Kwame Nkrumah included it in the name of his party.

Some 50+ years after Nkrumah and J.B. Danquah left the political stage in Ghana the ignorant lot living amongst us in Ghana and in the Diaspora continue to make assertions they have no firsthand knowledge of or can confirm their truthfulness and accuracy. Some in a generation to come after ours may read the garbage we deposit on this very ghanaweb and hold them to be true and accurate just as we hold accounts from the handwritings of our heroes and dubious colonial masters. I find myself surprised by the illogical thinking processes of the mostly Ghana born classroom educated writers who proudly list their classroom earned credentials while exposing their jaundiced level reasoning. Mother Ghana lags behind most Asian and far east nations we came from underneath our respective colonial masters in the field of education, technical advancement, national infrastrucure development, employment, housing and a whole host of sustainable human advances even as shameless kinfolks in the Diaspora keep pouring half truths into Ghana for mass consumption. What has Nkrumah, Danquah, Busia and members of the "big six" done lately for Ghana as we go around the world with our tin cup in hand begging for money?
I challenge you, Samuel Adjei Sarfo to list any historical accounts during the time of Nkrumah and CPP where Ghanaians held as indentured servants had their feet mutilated when they attempted to break free, shot in the back while running and or the women used as sex objects? These few are acts committed against the living under colonial rule in most nations under bondage and in the Americas but yet their leaders not labeled as tyrants anywhere in history books. You, Samuel Adjei Sarfo left Ghana for the USA without a pot to pis in and just as you down play the role of Nkrumah in events leading to the independence of Ghana and subsequent treasonous acts of his once sponsors should be reminded to take heed of your own write ups and stop listing your classrooms earned accomplishments since you arrived in the USA with nothing but owe everything thanks to the fresh air, food, living accommodations, school and work opportunities that awaited even tribal zealots like you. By the way you may want to list your secondary school credentials along with the others you earned that one too.

Mahama went to Brazil and inflated the price of Braer aircraft by 300% and got the NDC-controlled Parliament to approve it. Did that make it right?
Parliament has recently approved the purchase of tables and chairs from China when Ghanaian carpenters export furniture to Europe and other places and at a time Ghanaian carpenters are suffering because there are no contracts. Does the fact that Parliament passed a law to approve that purchase make it right?
Parliament approved Kufuor’s purchase of gold medals from Isle of Wight. Did that make it right? Hitler got the parliament of the Third Reich to approve the deportation, and later extermination of the Jews, did that make it right? You see the hollowness of your argument?
Exactly which legacy are you talking about, Nkrumah’s speeches, his laws, writings or his CPP? Who cares about those anymore? Why does the CPP consistently obtain 3% at Ghanaian elections? Why has his only son who bothered to live in Ghana because he could not make it in Egypt been hopping from one party to another like a yo yo?

Parliamentary sovereignty is a principle of our Ghanaian constitution. It makes Parliament the supreme legal authority in Ghana, which can create or end any law. Generally, the courts cannot overrule its legislation and no Parliament can pass laws that future Parliaments cannot change. Parliamentary sovereignty is the most important part of our constitution as borrowed from the UK.
If you doubt his legacy and that must be surprising then these are few.His legacy in education He built three universities: The University of Ghana, Cape Coast University, and the University of Science & Technology. And numerous public schools.
His economic legacy include, He built factories and industries in Ghana, the Tema City Harbor, new roads, and expanded the Civil Service. He also constructed the Akosombo Dam to provide electricity both for Ghana and the neighbouring states
Politically He began the move to dismantle colonial rule in Africa which he was by and large successful.Just to mention a few.If you don't find these as time tested legacies that will cry out for itself then your myopic view and bias must be breathtaking.

University of Science and Technology was created from an existing Kumasi College of Technology.
Numerous schools? With the possible exception of Ghana National College which benefited form "the Cape Coast Effect", can you point to one Top 20 School in Ghana that was established by Kwame Nkrumah?
Yea, he began the move for dismantling colonial rule by undermining other African leaders, including his own friend Nyerere? My o my, are we in trouble in that country!

Decisions of parliament are subject to the pleasure of parliament as to whether it stands or not and as to whether you like the decision of parliament or not, they are the supreme law making authority of the land.It is only the Matemehu mindset which will dispute that for political expediency.
It is outrageous to compare Nazi Germany to the UK parliamentary system. They are completely two different things and the slavery analogy must be made out of desperation perhaps for lack of ideas.
No wonder you make the laughable claim that JB Danquah is the architect of all the great Nkrumah projects. There is one thing incontrovertible though and that is that JB Danquah was a CIA agent who betrayed Ghana for a shoulder of marten and for that Ghanaian and succeeding generations will not forgive him.
The more these unnecessary noises against Nkrumah the more popular he becomes because this generation is becoming more curious to know his greatness.

Another lazy effusion from a desperate person whose reasoning and analysis falls far below standard. The argument is the authority of parliament and parliament draws its authority from its citizenship of which 'will' parliament reflects. In a democracy it is the majority which carries the vote and the normal protocol is to respect it unless you are not a democrat.
You sound as if you will want to impose your will on the majority because you disagree with them. What a democrat. The evolution of democracy had meant certain decision of yesterday will not be popular today but that does not make those decisions unpopular then.
That is why parliament revives its decisions and so we have to respect the decision of the time if you call yourself a democrat.

This argument is not whether or not parliament has the right to pass laws or abrogate same. You articulate this point very well in your previous posts....
The issue is really whether a law is morally right and just and fair just because it emanates from parliament; or whether its very nature and quality dignify a leader for al places and time. And we are saying that those laws like the ones initiated by Nkrumah's government: the ones making him president for life, and Ghana one party state and giving him the power of supreme judge to imprison without trial......they are all immoral laws that aptly characterize him as a brutal dictator, and it will not matter whether those laws came from God himself.
So now, we are saying this legacy of laws which characterize Nkrumah's leadership ought to be the very ones that qualify him as a brutal dictator.
And as to all those infrastructural developments you attribute to Nkrumah, you first have to account for the millions of pounds left to him, plus the gross domestic income generated by the nation's natural and mineral resources during his rule vis a vis the nation's population, and you will quickly dismiss Nkrumah as a spendthrift.
So in totality, whether viewed from his leadership philosophy or economic activities, Nkrumah is a terrible leader and a brutal dictator.

The argument must therefore be if the decision of parliament at the time represent the will of its citizens at the time.let us not forget that what is popular yesteryear may not be popular to day because the matters that may influence parliamentary decisions may not be present to day.Lets us also not forget that democracy as we know it today is still in the evolutionary process and therefore matters may be looked at differently from what it was before. That does not make the decision before a bad law though it may be changed to suit the present climate. So to assume that a law promulgated to meet the challenges of the day with all the wisdom of parliament could be denigrated and attacked stupidly the way you are doing beggars belief.
Your inappropriate use of language and choice of words not benefiting the intellectual as you yourself claim as the letters after your name shows. The brutal dictator accolade must only come from some one who is not ready to debate dispassionately.
It must also be made clear that infrastructural and developmental investment under Nkrumah is second to non and it is only the stupid mind and a mental stupor who will say that Nkrumah did not do much with the resources available to him.
Philosophically Nkrumah has attained the status of the great philosophers of of his days and his economic achievement is written in the Tema Township the Tema harbour and the Tema motorway not to mention the numerous factories he built and which stupidly the Matemehu coup brought to an untimely end and this is only about Tema and what of the country.
Finally it is stupid of you to use selective instances to come to your unreasonable conclusions the way you do of the greatest African of all time which compels me to conclude that other than attention seeking you are not making sense at all.

You are the ones casting Nkrumah out as the greatest leader for all time. You are now implying that he ruled at a time when conditions required him to set laws that will not be generally seen as coming from someone who is a democrat.
But coming from someone who promised Ghana freedom and justice and independence, posterity should be shocked at his betrayal of the people. Those laws were used to seal off the people's freedom and to incarcerate both Nkruma's friends and foes.
And if this does not matter to you, that is fine with me. But I am a freeborn, and I am not brought up to eulogize tyrants. You and others like you may stretch Nkrumah's philosophical status from here to Honolulu; I say the man fits into the scientific definition of a brutal dictator. Nkrumah is the worst thing that happened to Ghana and Africa.
Please do the Math of his income and expenditure and you will see that his infrastructure measures up to nothing when pegged against his wastefulness and corruption.

This is the ranting of one who is not ready to be civil in language and look at things dispassionately. What I said is that Nkrumah ruled respecting the climate that prevailed at the time and acted accordingly. It is a strange deduction and reasoning to say that a freedom fighter must be docile to sabotage and terrorist infiltration. That will be a contradiction because the very nature of fighting for freedom for your people meant that you must be vigilant against such negative forces.
The Osagyefo was too kind a man for his time otherwise with the numerous attempts on his life the death sentence should have sufficed for those criminals. To assume that the leadership should leave the nation open to infiltration and destabilization is preposterous and could not have happened and would not happen now even if the npp try to do as they are trying to do now.
Nkrumaism commands the majority of popular support in the country that is why its surrogate ndc is in power and will be in power for a long time because it is the will of the people.Insignificant ranting from SAS is nothing other than attention seeking

It will be just silly to compare Nkrumah to Danquah. The UGCC was founded to attain Independence for the Gold Coast but they were having a hell of task to convince the ordinary people. The UGCC did not know how to reach the poor masses. It was Ako Adjei who studied with Nkrumah at the Lincoln University in the United States who proposed that Kwame Nkrumah has the organisational skills to draw support from the ordinary people. It is unintelligent for Dr SAS to say that Nkrumah came home barehanded. What is the meaning of this? The truth is that Nkrumah was not ready to come home,he was persuaded by his friend Ako Adjei,a leading member of UGCC to come and help the struggle of our independence.Only few great patriots will forego their personal interest, abandon their studies abroad and come home barehanded to fight. This is the main reason why Paa Grant welcomed Nkrumah to his house in Sekondi-Takoradi.I want to make it perfectly clear that without Kwame Nkrumah, the Gold Coast could not become the first Subsaharean country to attain independence in 1957.Apparently,Nkrumah does not come from a wealthy background like the other UGCC members. This even became more evident when Nkrumah was accepted easily by the poor masses than Danquah. It came to a time where workers refused to recognise Danquah as their political leader and Danquah was losing his status in the public eyes. Here is where Danquah called Nkrumah and his workers union leaders as "Verander Boys",this is the extent of disregard he has for the poor people.Nkrumah broke away from the UGCC because he knew the big men in the UGCC have no respect for the poor people just like Dr SAS is doing today. He formed the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) on the basis of equal rights. It was also for the same equal rights value that he has been following the Black Movements in the United States,Canada,West Indies and England that gave him the advantage over Danquah and UGCC.Nkrumah was ready to speak local language everywhere, ready to sleep everywhere, ready to fight for freedom but UGCC was for big big lawyers like Dr SAS who think they are better than anybody. This is the reason why the electorates always voted massively for Nkrumah and CPP.The logical conclusion is that Danquah and Nkrumah are not from the same planet,it is just folly to compare them on the same scale.Thank you.

SAS never attempts to make a critical analysis of the Nkrumah regime and the phenomenon that was Nkrumah. For SAS, it all boils down to Danquah's incarceration and death in detention without trial. But a proper impartial analysis of Nkrumah goes far far beyond Danguah.
I agree with G. K. Berko that SAS is just behaving like a descendant of the Matemeho opposition to Nkrumah and cannot see beyond that standpoint. He is, therefore, not an impartial judge!
Yes, Danquah died in prison which shouldn't have happened. The PDA may have been wrong and, today, we won't pass such a law (not because SAS is saying not to but because we all know that), and, yes, Nkrumah shouldn't have declared a one-party state and made himself life president.
All Ghanaians today know these things (without SAS being the one telling it to them) because we have all had a distance to look at these things and thought better, or differently. But our thinking differently about these lapses in those those very different days does not blind us to the greater qualities of Nkrumah - qualities that far outweighed those of Danguah, whose place in our history is also assured, anyway.
Put Nkrumah besides Danguah and the former, with all his warts, beats the latter hands down. It is only people who support NPP today and are the descendants of Nkrumah's contemporary opponents who think otherwise. More independent (and for that matter clear-eyed) observers will not buy into SAS's argument against Nkrumah. And that is MOST Ghanaians today since many of those hailing Nkrumah today were not born when the man ruled us. They can judge more impartially.
Anyway, any person, like SAS, who will call Nkrumah a "dimwit" and a "brutal dictator" cannot be relied upon to give a fair assessment of Nkrumah as a person and a politician.

It is interesting that thing pointed out by G. K. Berko about SAS being like Nkrumah with all the appellations that he, SAS, is heaping upon himself. But there is a big difference. Nkrumah didn't himself ask for, or contrive to have, those appellations heaped on him. Perhaps he could have asked his supporters to stem all the over-enthusiasm, but it was the supporters who went ahead with all the adulation ... he only sat back and soaked them...
Kwame yeee, Kwame Nkrumah Showboy
I want to see you,
Kwame Nkrumah Showboy...
And he sat back, and smiled benignly
And one more thing, Nkrumah was greedy. But he was greedy for POWER, not for material wealth - unlike the Kufuors, Rawlingses, Mahamas and their ilk. And most Ghanaians today will prefer a leader who was greedy for Power but not for personal wealth to one who did otherwise.

Remember that I have been asking his followers to give us a dossier of his so-called phenom. So far, none will or can. At the irreducible level, the Nkrumaists will not be able to tell you why they admire Nkrumah. They were simply brainwashed to sing his praise. Nkrumah is the only Ghanaian leader to train a mass of "scholars" whose sole purpose in life is to apotheosize his name and sanctify his actions.

This February is the best month for me because this is the month in which I expose the evil deeds of the Great Impostor for the education of generations to come. I suppose you've a monopoly of wisdom. Say what you like about Nkrumah; his place in history is assured. Ghana's History has been and will be kind to Nkrumah, not because he wrote it, but because he has shaped it. Let us not judge history with today's one-dimensional views and political prejudices.
Repeatedly attacking Nkrumah with contemptuous insults will not illuminate your Danquah trajectory. I'm sure most readers who are neither Danquahist, nor Nkrumahist need historically accurate account and objective facts examining both Danquah and Nkrumah.
In retrospect, throughout history great men have made decisions that in hindsight are deemed mistakes. Even today, in spite of history lessons, research and analysis, leaders still make mistakes. Nkrumah's PDA was wrong. Throwing Danquah in jail, and his eventual death without being convicted of terror-related offences/charges is wrong and regrettable. However, that should make Dr J B Danquah, the 'Patron Saint' of Ghana. Nkrumah wasn't perfect. No one is perfect.
I'm sure intellectuals are enlightened and do not engage in immature language or come across as forthrightly abusive in tone. Insults are unpleasant, disrespectful and undermine your arguments.

Mind you this debate has never been about Danquah. His name happens to be here because the Nkrumaists will not let him rest in peace. We his admirers wanted to honor the man on the occasion of his incarceration and death, only to have the Nkrumaists come in to designate him as a traitor and Nkrumah as the best thing that happened to us.
We are just busy setting the record straight by arguing that J.B. Danquah is a hero and that Nkrumah is a brutal dictator and traitor. And in doing this, we don't care how many people have been deluded into thinking otherwise.
As we have stated before, Nkrumah's genius as a deceiver has global dimension.

During the era of Nkrumah's dictatorship he did all the thinking and everyone else was supposed to learn by rote.
50 long years have passed since Danquah died in the hands of cold assasins and one would think that the acolytes and neophytes of Nkrumaism would have finally stumbled to a painful epiphany and gifted with the ability to understand the inhumanness of taking people's rights away and jailing dissenters without affording them the opportunity of a fair trial. Hindsight they say is 20/20 but not so for the Nkrumaists. This nation is hurting from the festering wounds of oppression, suppression and depression and we need to heal before we can make any meaningful progress as a nation. There can't be any meaningful national reconciliation until Nkrumaists admit that jailing people without trial was and is wrong and should never ever be allowed to creep back into our politics. If the die-hard Nkrumaists still believe Danquah was guilty of subversion they should prove it with evidence or shut up. We can't continue like this. There has to be a turning point and the time is now.
