No wonder why, whenever Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is discussed on any public platform in Ghana, some elements of the 'MATE ME HO' group of saboteurs and traitors feel so jittery, and would want to make rebuttals
You see how ironically similar both scenarios are?.... just for argument's sake.
So my simple advice to you is that if you live in a glass house , don't throw stones.

The guy has no honest opinion since the real facts attest to what we all know about J.B Danquah. J.B Danquah and his blood brothers made life very difficult for Nkrumah. In Nkrumah's place I would have imprisoned him as well.

If the author of this article lives in London,then he should find time to visit the British achives on Gold Coast.Before the British arrived in Gold Coast somewhere in 1550 to build their first castle at Kormansti there were already many different European traders along the coastlands.These Europeans came to the Gold Coast purposely to trade as we are also coming to Europe today purposely to work and study.The idea of colonisation came when our own ancestors were engaged in tribal wars,human sacrifices and slave trade.The first step to colonisation was for the Europeans to protect the coastal people and this was mentioned in any agreement the chiefs made with the Europeans.Namely,the first Gold Coast Chief to meet an European trader is Kwamina Ansah of Elmina.He agreed to trade with Don Diego de Azambuga of Portugal when the later assured him of military protection from King George of Portugal.The British were not different,they also agreed to protect the coastal areas from being attacked by enemies in the name of British Kingdom.Now listen,Gold Coast was never a British Colony even under Captain George Maclean up to 1843.The British were simply traders and had made agreement with some chiefs to stay for 100 years with option for renewal.You guys in London should find out the real history and events between the British and the Chiefs of the Gold Coast.Unfortunately,the British did not renew the agreement when it was expired and have overstayed the 100 years after 1940s.This is the historical basis for our independence that the Fante Chiefs wanted the British to renew the agreement or leave.The UGCC leaders could not just wake up and claim independence without any basis.Kwame Nkrumah put more pressure on the legitimacy of our independence when Danquah on the hand wanted the British to stay,this is the clear difference between the 2 gentlemen.You can recall that Danquah did not win any elections thereafter.This is one of the reasons the UP tried to terrorised followers of Kwame Nkrumah of which many innocent people were murdered in cold blood.So it's true that Danquah is not a saint neither Nkrumah was.Their deeds are there for us to see.Thank you.

I am not old enough to witness the political football played between Nkrumah and JB. However, I can see from the various comments on this forum about tons of allegations of subversive activities being leveled against J.B. Dankwah. Now my question is that if Nkrumah knew about these allegations, why was JB never charged, even when he was thrown in prison? Last week, I read from one of his letters from prison how he constantly sought explanation from Nkrumah for his incarceration. If the evidence was abundant, as being alleged now, What prevented the government from charging him with sedition at that time. Also today, Kwasi Pratt mentioned how Nkrumah wept upon hearing the death of JB Dankwah, and had even ordered for his release from jail the day before his death. To me, this doesn't seem like a big 'ol traitor who was bent on killing Nkrumah, as we are being made to believe.

Nkrumah has been out of the Ghana political scene since 1966 and since that time the rate of migration from you and Danquah's Ghana has not sustained Ghanaians.
