A person can be groomed to take a leadership position even where that position is fairly contested. The person so groomed must still submit himself to the vote.
The fact that Akufo-Addo won a fair election does not necessarily mean he was not imposed on the electorate. There are many subtle ways in which a dominant person can still impose himself on others even when elections are held. That is exactly what Akufo did. Let's see if he can do that for the entire nation too.
The comparison with the queen is a false analogy.
You should criticize the interviewees on factual grounds. Saying they are lazy is not one such ground. Saying they are Africans doesn't cut it either.
And saying there's no age limit for a presidential candidacy does not mean a candidate cannot be criticized on the grounds of age. A 90 year old can still stand for the office but that doesn't mean he should. All Akufo had to do was to prove that his age will be no hindrance. Some voters will think otherwise - with their ballot papers...

The article would be funny were it not the sheer display of hypocrisy by the mind and prowess of a classic card carrying NPP member or closet supporter on the issue of election results in Ghana. Could Newton-Offei coherently explain how it is Ghana EC under the same management and leadership can provide election results that is the basis for a presumed fair election of Nana Akufo-Addo but the EC has been maligned by the NPP for results that are not favorable to their desire to rule Ghana?
Newton-Offei should perhaps take a hard look at the NPP that has relied on pictures of Ghana painted by foreign nations to be cause to overthrow Ghana governments and malign current and past administrations but are now anything but children of God for exposing what happens in plain sight in Ghana politics of a tribal order but unspoken by morally bankrupt citizenry. Next time the NPP as a political party and or their puppet stooges in a number of think tanks in Ghana cite foreign reports of mismanagement by institutions in Ghana I do hope to read from Mr. Newton-Offei mounted on his horse coming to the defense of Ghana if we're to accept not to heed writings of outsiders.

A very useless write up. You call BBC journalists lazy journalists? You are very pathetic. Now I know you are an empty chaff. What about your hopeless and illiterate Kwaku Baaku who hasn´t got even a JHS certificate to boast of? A stupid man who copies from his late father´s old newspapers? He is the best journalist for you. No matter what, Ghanaians are not fools to entrust this nation into the hands of a drug criminal like Akufo Addo. A tribal warlord fooooool of characters. Get lost and find something doing.

'The usual backward African way' Now the NPP has extended its insults from Ghana to the whole of Africa. In the NPP one is merited according to how loud one can shout and how much one can insult. Hmm.
