The 1992 Constitution allows many political parties to fight for elections, and whichever party wins, automatically, is mandated to rule the country. The problem with the CPP now is that it has been in the doldrums for a long time. Its membership has dissipated to other parties, notably, the two main parties, NPP and NDC, which have alternated to rule the country since the inception of the 1992 Constitution. Both those parties would not have been in current commanding position had it not been the contribution provided by previous CPP enthusiasts and members. To bring these people back to the fold is what is needed to be done by the CPP. Before then CPP itself needs to change direction and acquire funds to organise and fight elections. Short of that, am afraid, is a non-starter.

The sycophant KB Ashanti is a disgrace. How can any reasonable human being in his right mind justify communist dictatorship and tyranny? Nkrumah did not have any excuse for doing what he did, except that he was preparing the ground with a series of unprovoked actions to create one party state and declare himself president for life.
Communist ideology doesn't have a place for opposition in the system. Have you ever heard of a communist democratic country with an opposition to check excesses of the government? Nkrumah chose communism as a means of keeping himself in power forever. He therefore imposed the Detention without Trial Act only to gag everybody in Ghana, create a communist dictatorship and turn himself into president for life. This is because, communists don't share power.

I have been challenged by Francis Kwarten to explain line by line what Dr. Kwame Botwe-Asamoah said in his three-part series that confirms our claim, even remotely, that Nkrumah was a communist that cunningly and dishonestly used the UGCC platform as a cover to work against the group from within, and in the end stabbed them from behind to take power. Although the series were used by FK to rebut our argument, we actually found them to be in support of our position. Therefore, the following excerpts are only from Dr. Asamoah's Three-part series entitled, Kwame Nkrumah: The ONE and ONLY Founding Father of Ghana -2014 Independence Day Special..
UGCC MISTAKENLY HIRED A PAN-AFRICAN COMMUNIST
"The fact is Nkrumah initially was reluctant to accept the offer as he perceived the UGCC members to be “bourgeois reactionaries” enamored in capitalist ideology and philosophy." "Secondly, he, as the General-Secretary of West African National Secretariat, as well as Chairman of “The Circle,” was at the time busy working on a West African National Conference towards a Union of West African Socialist Republics, slated to be held in Lagos in October 1948."
CONSPIRACY HATCHED IN LONDON TO SABOTAGE UGCC
"Nonetheless, after meeting with his comrades in the West African National Secretariat, it was decided that Nkrumah should accept the offer and return to operationalize the 1945 Manchester Pan-African Congress resolutions. Nkrumah assured them that he would not compromise with the reactionaries and reformists in the UGCC (Smertin)"
UGCC SENSES DANGER (THEY HAVE PATAKU (Wolf) IN THEIR MIDST)
"They (UGCC) brought many charges against Nkrumah based on differences in vision, ideology, philosophy and strategy. One was the word “Comrade” in one of Nkrumah’s letters Obetsebi Lamptey and William Ofori Attah had confiscated from Nkrumah’s office in Saltpond. They quizzed him about the word comrade, since they found it to be synonymous with Communism. Second. The Working Committee accused Nkrumah of acting outside his authority…" "They blamed Ako Adjei for his role in recommending Nkrumah to the group." "Dr. J. B. Danquah wept saying that he would not have supported the recommendation by Ako Adjei, had he (Danquah) known of Nkrumah’s ideological persuasion."
SECRET NETWORK IN THE NAME OF UGCC TO OUTFOX ITS LEADERSHIP
"The (UGCC) Working Committee accused Nkrumah of establishing a Youth Study Group at youth movement with the Ashanti Youth Association and the Ghana Youth Association of Sekondi, and become known as the Committee on Youth Organization (CYO).The CYO, Nkrumah explained to the Working Committee, was to serve as the youth wing of the UGCC, yet they still objected to its formation. They found the CYO’s manifesto, “Self-Government Now” a threat to the program of the UGCC, “Self-Government within the shortest possible time.”… All the while, Nkrumah and his Comrades were working on turning the CYO into a political party." And that was the origin of the CPP party.
With the exception of the ex-servicemen’s march, Nkrumah had no knowledge of the plans for the boycott of the Association of West African Merchants (AWAM) and Syrians’ commodities organized by Nii Kwabena Bonne
Danquah and Nkrumah had addressed the ex-servicemen on February 20 at Palladium to express solidarity with their concerns.
It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution.

I HAVE READ AND HEARD ABOUT YOU AND YOUR SYMPATHIZERS BRANDING THE CPP AS BEING COMMUNIST. SIMPLY PUT, CPP WAS NEVER COMMUNIST BUT YOUR COHORTS USED THIS BRANDING AS A PLOY TO GET SUPPORT FOR YOUR BOMBS TO KILL THE INNOCENT. HAVING SAID THIS, THE LAST AND STEADFAST COMMUNIST STATE I KNOW IS CHINA.YET IT IS THE MOST PROSPEROUS NATION. YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE COMMUNISM BUT LIKE COMMUNIST MONEY. SIMPLY PUT, CPP WAS NOT COMMUNIST ALTHOUGH CPP USED STATE POWER AND RESOURCES TO CONSTRUCT MOST OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE YOU ENJOY TODAY. YOU HAVE SOLD AND DESTROYED MOST BUT THE TRUTH WILL NEVER DIE. THE WORLD KNOWS THE TRUTH AND NO AMOUNT OF YOUR SPEECHES WILL CHANGE ANYTHING. CPP NOW, CPP FOREVER. NKRUMAH NEVER INTENDED TO DO SOME OF THE THINGS HE DID IF NOT BECAUSE OF YOUR TERRORIST ACTIONS. HE HELD ELECTIONS IN HIS TIME NOT COUPS.

Osagyefo also said: "Organization is everything". Get off your damned asses and go the people with your message now! CPP scored a remarkable propaganda coup at the recently ended NDC congress through Greenstreet's solidarity message. Now is not the time to relent and relax in Accra, issuing messages. Keep up the propaganda momentum and spread the message to the people throughout the country that "NOBODY AND NOBODY, N-O-B-O-D-Y, IS FEELING THE BETTER GHANA AGENDA". Show the people that CPP has the men and women to lead the country back to prosperity, using the same strategy as Osagyefo did - building national wealth for all!
Above all winning the elections is not about winning the presidency. So why wait and do the same old damn thing i.e. go to Congress in 2016 and then start campaigning for the presidency. IT'S NOT GOING TO WORK, SAMIA. CPP KEEPS DOING THE SAME THING AND EXPECTING TO WIN!!! START THE CAMPAIGN NOW - ESPECIALLY FOR PARLIAMENT. GET OUT OF ACCRA AND GO TO THE REGIONS AND DISTRICTS AND REACH OUT TO THE PEOPLE BY RADIO AND TV INTERVIEWS, DISCUSSIONS AND DEBATES!
