I've admired this man since the time he put up that scintillating performance in the 2012 presidential IEA debate. You're a man of great intellect, fantastic passion for our nation, and clear vision. I wish presidents were made from their capabilities and not from what pilitical party they belong to. I wish you well!

I cannot agree with you the more.
This man is an asset but will they consider what he can do for the benefit of mother Ghana? Certainly not particularly not with these people with "Yentie obiara" mantra around.

The so-called professor that tried to embellish Nkrumah's economic record needs to go to School all over again. These types of socialist arguments could deceive Ghanaians in the 50s and 60s but, they cannot do so now. Nkrumah was the first leader to introduce unsustainable debt into this country by borrowing massively and unnecessarily to finance his whims and caprices. It was a misfortune that we had such a person as president immediately after the independence. He didn't lay a realistic economic foundation for sustainable development of the young nation at all, considering the amount of money that was at his disposal in those days.
Ghana had about one billion dollars in reserve when Nkrumah took over the reins of government from the colonial master. Could you imagine what the value of 1bn dollars was in the early fifties? Again, after 2years of his rule, cocoa prices at the world market rocketed and increased four-fold. But contrary to any sound economic planning, he did not reserve any fraction of the windfall for a rainy day as the Whiteman had done with only one fourth of the revenues he got from cocoa. So, what did Nkrumah do with all the revenue he got from the astronomical cocoa prices, and the big reserve he inherited that took many years to build for our financial stability and sustainable development?
The man just went on a spending spree both in Ghana and around the world, throwing his weight about and talking big. So when the cocoa prices fell close to the end of his rule, he was quick to point accusing fingers at the West, blaming them for manipulating cocoa prices to sabotage the economy of Ghana and overthrow his government. Finally, after misusing all the money mainly on useless prestigious projects, failed communist agricultural projects and whimsical mad rush industrialization projects that did not withstand the test of time, he also burdened the young nation with another billion dollars' debt before he was forced out of the country.
The truth is that, the economy could not grow and achieve its potentials under communists since the system lucks mechanisms and incentives that would release energies of the people to create wealth. Nkrumah, therefore, met a rich and confident country with stable economy, and left it bankrupt in some few years as a result of gross communist mismanagement.

It is most disappointing Abu Sakara has rather become so active in the campaign to impose GMOs on Ghanaians! If Ghana is going to prosper as a nation, it all depends on what happens on our agricultural front. Our well-being as a nation depends more on this than on gold or oil. The livelihood of over 60% of our population depends on this.
It is such a shame that it is the only area where Abu Sakara fails very woefully. It is a shame because as an agronomist, Abu Sakara could have made a whole lot of difference. His inability to raise this issue as articulately as his delivery at the IEA Presidential debate, and chose to join in the chorus of "improved seeds", of the rest of the candidates was a bitter disappointment.
He has since come out to clearly offer support to the NDC and the NPP over the imposition of GMOs on Ghanaians! This is unacceptable. It has turned him into a political nuisance rather than a part of the solution. He needs to come out clearly on his stance on GMOs and support the efforts of our poor farmers to feed the nation in a healthy manner.
So far, Abu Sakara has shown that he does not even deserve a ministerial appointment! He certainly comes no where near deserving the Presidency! By joining the pro-GMO bandwagon, Abu Sakara has nothing to offer to Ghanaians! He should give us a break! We are sick and tired of GMO politicians!
We also wish Abu Sakara a happy new year, and humbly call on him to mend his GMO ways! He must know he is either a part of the problem or a part of the solution!
The choice is his to make!
Forward Ever! Backwards Never!!!

Dr Abu Sakara is a mature politician that is always focused on the national interest above partisan interests so this message is not about cpp people. Unfortunately Abu Sakara belongs to a party that is overrun by a few narrow minded people like Nana and Jomo that are obsessed with factional in fighting for positions to fulfill their egos and satisfy their masters or mistress. They call themselves real nkrumahists and comrades but spend all their time trying to assassinate characters of their presidential candidates. pls note that what goes around comes around. people like nana and jomo drive people away from the party and that is why cpp gets less and less with each election.
