Much as urbanisation has created negative problems, it has also helped people to make a livelihood for themselves. Many of the problems you have highlighted in this article affect cities around the world. What we need is proper planning and execution of plans by the city and municipal authorities. We urgently need reform of our local councils or assemblies because currently they are overpoliticised and incompetent.
