I usually keep away from commenting on the viewpoints of those commenting on my opinion pieces but yours really strikes me as intriguing. That is why I will say something about it for you and those thinking like you to know that I am nobody's poodle!!
Since I learnt how to write, I have made it a cardinal principle to insert myself into conversations about issues affecting me and fellow human beings. That is my main motivation for writing as I choose to do. I have my own style, which I use, regardless of whose ox I gore or who says that about what I write and how I write it.
Oh, how I wish that somebody will pay me for the hundreds of opinion pieces that I have written and had published by Ghanaweb and many other online portals!!
You see, people like you who cannot think properly always limit yourselves to pettiness as you've demonstrated here.
I have said several times that as a product of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, I will always make my voice heard on issues through my writing. I don't need anybody to pay me to do so. Go and find out, and you should be better informed.
I am gainfully employed as a scholar, teaching at a university in the United States and can survive without being supported by anybody wishing to pay me to write in favour of the government.
I am a political being and have the freedom to love and extol the values of the political front that I support. Nothing deters me from doing so.

Are you lost in your mind and don't realize by now that all the recent strike actions in the country here and there are sponsored and paid for by the NPP (the Kulungugu Bomb Throwers) in order to make the country ungovernable. There is plenty wrong, however, with party leadership knee deep in spewing hate, talk a whole lot of nonsense and make references to examples which have no bearing on what it is they attempt to highlight. At the very least you, Ms Wangara must ask how the very EC which received much praise from NPP leaders for "successfully" organizing the NPP intra party election (flawed as it was rife with bribery, vote buying and not to mention a 100.01 percent participation) would be chastised by yep Wontumi of all people.
Who is Wontumi and where is the data card on his IQ that would make a party of Ghana's intellectuals nominate and elect him into leadership position? Yes Dr. Bokor could be or is an Ewe but the truth is this, and I dare you to check facts on Ghana's educated, and you may find that most of the intellectual in Ghana hail from the Volta region not from the populous Ashanti region, Eastern region or others. It hurts does it not Ms Wangana knowing that tribal zealotry cannot trump wisdom and or intellect.

The democratic right to express your views doesn't mean you should come up with jaundiced views all the time.
Kojo T, if you look at things more critically, you will observe that Bokor is not one the popular writers on ghanaweb. People perceive him as one-sided and all his attempts to sound impartial can easily be looked through. He set the tone for that with his very first article to ghanaweb some five years ago (which is not long ago given that ghanaweb has been around for 20 years and before that there was ghanareview) entitled: The NPP is a Threat to Ghana's Democracy. His subsequent articles have been in the same vein and he has written a few hundreds in the short time that he's been on ghanaweb. Only Okoampa and Adofo have written more articles than him.
So Kojo T, be more critical and discerning when you read the numerous voices that the practice of democracy enables.

It is always worrying to hear NPP leaders and supporters creating the impression that all the elections they lost were stolen but those they won were genuine. This kind of mindset could one day lead to electoral violence in Ghana if care is not taken.
Mr Antwi-Boasiako bribed his way into NPP leadership by presenting his personal property to the party just before the conference which elected him as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP. His benevolence to the party surely influenced the delegates in their voting pattern.
Those who have parted with money or what have you would not tolerate the NPP losing election 2016. Mr Antwi-Boasiako's statement about the EC is a way of preparing the minds of Ghanaians so that in the event of the NPP losing election 2016, they can use the EC as an excuse to foment trouble in the country.
This should be of concern to all well-meaning Ghanaians. Everything humanly must be done to straightened all the rough edges before and after the 2016 election so that whoever comes out as the vanquished would not have any cause to cry foul.
