Give him praise for what? Have you seen the sanitation situations in Accra, causing epidemic of cholera? He only decided to do some work after all the criticism. I'm even surprised he's still at his post.

You talk a lot about the mayor getting things done but present no objective data/fact. The citations from South Carolina do not cut it for Ghana (and Accra). It is after all, an honorary degree that serves Mr. Vanderpuije and Benedict College's self-interest. (In fact, South Carolina itself has little to teach Ghana on education, objectivism, and science, considering their approach to the Common Core standards at this point).
1. From the video that was your inspiration, it looks like the Mayor himself was lawless. The mayor is not a policeman or judge, he was not dressed appropriately to stop traffic, and his entire team looked like a mob.
2. When was it ever acceptable for a strategic leader to arrest for "arrogance and ignorance", for blowing a car horn as a mob?
3. When was it ever acceptable to chase away hawkers when the "government" of Accra has not provided adequate public infrastructure as alternative?
QUESTION: Did you miss the photos the other day, where a lot of the garbage collected on Sanitation Day in Accra is still sitting on the side of streets curbs, in Accra?
