  I am almost fooled by your diatribe. However, I see the men in the Bible, except the prophets, as wimps who are controlled by the libido. Now, that is a reason to want to control another person. On the other hand, the men are more apt to seek God as a diversion. I will continue to believe that the world God has created is perfect, therefore we should tow the line of Jesus in order to reconnect with God. With that we are promised peace no matter what the storms raging in our families. We will eventually calm all storms and teach people like boko haram the right way to do things. Thanks for the article.

  This crap Duncan Williams preaches has made him pretty rich Unfortunately, majority of his followers are women and this include my sister and all her four daughters. They make offerings to him three times a week after debasing them with these chauvinistic sermons. I guess his ex American wife got fed up with his nonsense and took him to the cleaners through a divorce. He is an embittered con man and we should expect more of this nonsense.

  Dear Author of the Article: here are some corrections and additions on some of your points.
  1)You site the Genesis story of the creation of the world as "the posture of the bible", but i disagree because the bible itself cannot make up its mind on how the world was created. there are two story's of the creation of the world in Genesis, one claims a 6 day chronology and the creation of man and woman on the sixth day without discriminating who came first or who got created out of who and the second claims the creation of a man first and then the creation of all else and only after the man rejected the creatures Yahweh offered him to choose a companion from, did yahweh finally see the need for a woman and created one out of man "ribs". while you claim the "rib" story is the biblical standard i contend that the bible is not sure of which is which. rather the priesthood has elevated the "rib" story to prominence to reduce women to the status of sub animals. the laws of Moses further reinforce the inferiority of women and the ignorance of Yahweh and his priests. carefully study the first two chapters of genesis and you will discover two contorted, controversial and pathetic story's of the creation of the world that prove that the bible as the word of god is no more than a fantastic fable with no grounds in reality, fact, history or nature.
  2) you express surprise as to why women flock to churches and religious places even as these same churches, priests and holy books reinforce the inferiority of women to animals let alone men? well look no further than the progress of Christianity in sub saharan Africa! Christianity came to this part of Africa in the hands of slave dealers and their nations (the portuguese were catholic, the english were Anglican and the dutch, etc were protestant). when you study the history of europe around the time the europeans were enslaving africans and commitng one of the most despicable genocides in human history, they were all under the powerful rule of the church, in fact the most intense period of slavery by the portuguese was initiated by King John the Poius who invited the Inquisition into Portugal and who regardless of his immense belief in Jesus and the church was no better a person than Adolf Hitler, In fact the "Catholic Encyclopedia" boasts that the seafaring age initiated by Portugal meant that the Portuguese took their "flag and their faith" to all the corners of the world. meaning that 250 years of African enslavement by Portuguese was endorsed by government and church as boasted of in the catholic encyclopedia. despite this Africans have adapted the religion of their slavers like its nobody's business. Africans suddenly believe that the same religion that enslaved them would be the same religion that would liberate them and give them eternal life???? Thus the sons of slaves flock to the same churches to hear the same sermons that enslaved their forefathers and destroyed Africa and its societies. is it surprising that women would flock to this same judeo-pagan monster that has held them to be less than dogs and cattle???? the same slave phenomenon that sees Africans in 2014 flock to christian slave churches in their numbers looking for salvation sees women flock to the same churches despite their reduced status in Yahwehs creation. it is no surprise at all.
