What a shame to sack Kwesi Appiah, a katakyie, a dedicated Ghanaian soccer player who captained the Black Stars and until last week coached the team. The action of the authority involved in Kwes's sacking has disproved Dr. Nkrumah's contention that the blackman is capable ofhandling his own affairs. As ghanaians when are we going to believe in ourselves? Are we not competent to tackle our problems from within? If we believe that we are incompetent, then we must hire a president, cabinet, parliamentarians, judges, CEOs etc. from outside ghana. They may move Ghana forward better than us. What a shame.

Mr. Bokor have expressed his point well on this issue. However, he must know that all 3rd world countries connect sports to politics to the point that, at a giving period if a national team under-performs in a tournament, it goes to hunt the government in power. AA did his best to qualify the Stars to the WC and with such cream of players who were among the best in the entire assembly, their failure to advance was some indecisions of AA. How on earth do you sit some of your experienced players on the bench at the commencement of the match with USA - who had vowed to revenge their previous defeats by the stars? Whoever ill advised him to do that has caused his downfall. On the other hand if it his own decision, then AA is not matured or qualified as a Head Coach. He needs to go.
I doubt the sensibility of GFA Board having renewed AA's contract just about 10 weeks ago and axing him instantly to go for this Serbian traitor who showed a sign of discontentment as Head Coach when Ghana beat his home country in 2010 WC in South Africa. In coporate world, no former employer of the Serbian would even entertain him a second in their premises when he had walked over them when they had wanted to extend his services. If this Serbian have had longtime gainful employment since he quit his employment with Ghana, he would not have turn back again. He found Ghanaians in authorities to be corrupt and fools. Present day youths in authority are so dodos that, there is a big question with their brains processing power. I think GFA could look for a new Head Coach within or outside the country beside this Serbian traitor. He is not coming for the country's interest but just to fool around with the corrupt officials and make his money at the expense of the tax payer. EBE DII BI KEKE.

I wonder when we Ghanaians are ever going to get it??????
Our suppressive colonialists education system (based solely on someone else's 'lingo') we have in place, creates inferior complex towards other races.
It's really sad to see how we teach OUR children in their formative years by subjecting them to languages that they do not understand..............And yet, we don't seem to understand that teaching and learning does not take place at all?????
It is not only about the 'lingo'...we are also taught throughout our learning years to believe how POOR we are, whilst we are literally sitting on some of the world's richest raw materials in the others kill for.
We are taught that they are of no value till 'they' add value to it, so 'they' determine the prices 'they' will buy them...............
Therefore, we grow up believing we are POOR at everything we do, till they add value to even our thinking.
Now, my point is, our citizens grow, believing and respecting other races, other than their own.
Kwesi Appiah was never respected by his players and those who appointed him. The players never respected his instructions not because he was a bad coach......but because of the MENTAL ENSLAVEMENT of our players due to the mind process of their formative years as humans.
Here we are again, going for a coach who walked out on us with no respect to us and was even paid more than any Ghanaian coach.......who also needed a translator (who was paid more than our own), because he could not speak a word of English??????????????????????????
(I HOPE YOU GET MY DRIFT SO FAR?)
So, the results of our MENTAL ENSLAVEMENT is there for all open-minded serious thinking humans to see........................As a result, many of our citizens get excited when they hear other races speaking our 'lingo' and even purchase their songs sang in our local dialects.
THAT IS WHAT HAS BECOME OF US.......
Now, to another point,....there were many problems caused by our players and officials in Brazil and yet, GHANAIANS get hoodwinked by the GFA by making Kwesi Appiah the scapegoat out all this debacle.............
OSAGYEFO, we have let you down indeed!!! HIS QUOTE: "We are going to demonstrate to the world, to the other nations, that we are prepared to lay our foundation - our own African identity." Independence Speech - 6th March 1957..........
Yes! Indeed! By making C.K. Gyamfi a success for Ghana and then came Sellas Tetteh's success.......when we had humans thinking on our behalf.
Fast forward to 2014 and we are still looking to other races to lay our foundations for us???????
NKRUMAH NEVER DIES!
GOD BLESS GHANA!
AFRICAN FOREVER!

Please research on how AFRICANS from all walks of life studied at the first ever university in the world, sited in Timbuktu then. And the language used to teach them to grow to start the African Civilization.

I agree that the circumstances leading to Coach Appish's sudden axing are very bizarre and replacing him with the Serbian who broke our hearts and walked away from the job 4 years ago is the dumbest thing to do. I supported the hiring of an indigneous coach but Kwasi Appiah has failed to prove himself as the substantive coach and well deserving of this challenging job. Even the blind could read the ominous writing on the wall that his stint with the Black Stars was over. Much as some of us prefer a local coach that's not enough reason to retain mediocre performance from one of our own. We must either hire a more competent, results oriented local coach who exudes confidence and is professional in his leadership style or spend big and hire a top class foreign coach. Axing Appiah and replacing him with the renegade half baked Serbian coach is not a step forward but two backward steps.

We always encourage the people of Ghana to patronize made in Ghana good as our reliance on imports is killing our already sick economy. This admonition is good for us as a people but when it comes it comes to using home breed personal, our politicians behave with disdain. In Ghana it is not uncommon for people to surbone against their own people for the betterment of a foreigner. The pull him down attitudes which have crystalised into the termination of Akwasi Appiah is case in point. We hate our own and do not lend our support to nurture home human resources. In so far us we keep on depending on imported human resources at the expense of locally trained ones,we have a long way to go.Political hypocrisy should give way to reality.A nation that depends on imports alone stand to lose! Those in authority should wake up from their agoe long slumber.Sacking Akwasi Appiah is a palliative rather than remedy.

Coach Appiah did very well to qualify Ghana for Brazil 2014.
He did make a big mistake in the first match against the USA, and didn't help matters with his post-match interview.
However, he led the team to play brilliantly in the match against Germany, and were at one point leading the Germans by 2-1. In fact, they almost won that match. Ghana was the only nation that drew with Germany in Brazil! That showed the quality of the team under Coach Appiah.
What happened up to the match with Portugal is largely public knowledge. How much of this was Coach Appiah's fault?
Why should Mr. Nyantakyi and other members of the GFA stay at post and have the moral courage to sack the Coach?
Let's stop treating each other this way! This is SHAMEFUL!
