I STILL CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE NPP CANNOT GET IT IN THEIR THICK SKULL THAT AN AKYEM CANNOT BECOME THE PRESIDENT OF THIS COUNTRY. THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING SINCE 1951. ALL THEIR EFFORTS HAVE PROVED FUTILE.

Don't be myopic in your singular mental block. There's always a first time in everything for a jinx to be broken. Time will tell.

What is missing in Ghanaian political discourse is that for decades, prospective candidates for the presidency don't feel pressured to present their vision of how they plan to rule the nation.
Rawlings did not do it, Kuffuor didn't do it, Atta-Mills didn't, and
Mahatma didn't do it; and both Akufo-Addo and Kyerematen, and the flagbearers of the other political parties are not being pressured to present their visions in totality. From agricultural policies, energy policies, health policies, economic policies, educational policies, to even policies to boost up tourism, we the voters have to inkling into how we are going to be governed.
Ghanaian voters therefore make their decisions on whom to vote for strictly on tribal, political afilliation, and economic reasons. And that is not good for the nation.

Should read, "we the voters have no inkling into how we are going to be governed."

I perfectly agree with you. political parties ideologies are all about capturing political power and strict adherence to party manifestos instead of a national policy that paves way for sound economic development.
