An academic does not behave in that manner and I wonder if he is doing any serious lecturing at his university because he seems to be on ghanaweb every day responding to everything and a serious academic would not expend his precious and time limited on many of the issues he writes on.

Nana Akufo-Addo claims he will not steal Ghana's money which implies there are others who he believes stole from the government. It is also true that Nana Akufo-Addo was Ghana's AG- under the Kufour administration and yet did not prosecute those in the NDC he believe to have stolen. His best handiwork was the Tsatsu Tsikata Discoverer 911 drill ship which became a conduit for his NPP party to steal and mismanage some of the proceeds from the sale. Nana Akufo-Addo was also the minister for foreign affairs under the Kufour era at which time diplomatic passports came up missing, abused and used by NPP stalwarts for drug shipments. So yes Nana Akufo-Addo need not steal as common street criminals do but he sure knows how to let people around him steal while he looks the other way knowing he has a percentage cut in the loot coming his way.
