There is no need to bring up what Alan did in 2007 because Nana Akuffo Addo's father with Akuffo Addo in tow broke off from PFP, the forebears of Npp to form UNC that denied Victor Owusu the Presidency. As a matter of fact the UNC members including Nana and his father campaigned for Limann against Victor Owusu during the 1979 run-off.

Akuffo Addo should demonstrate his ability to lead not only a factionalized NPP but above all a polarized and divided nation. If he cannot show magnanimity and the matured leadership to handle the factional wranglings in the party then he is not the transformational leader Ghana needs. Would he be around at this critical time to contest for the party's leadership if he were to secure the international job last year? Okuampa is very truthful. His only problem is that he is too verbose as it is always difficult to decipher what he writes. Ghanaians would live to regret if they don't give Nana and Bawumia the chance to rule the country. Nana has discoverd a gem in the person of Bawumia and Nana is the first politician in Africa to boldly proclaim that he is not corrupt. Your usual and frequent characterization of Alan as Mr. "Quitman" for walking out of the NPP leadership meeting that intended to impose on him unfairly should have indeed been assigned to Akufo-Addo first. This is because Akufo-Addo was the first of the two to behave like that by abandoning the PFP to follow his uncle, Paa Willie, in 1979, because of a misunderstanding between Paa Willie's faction and Victor Owusu's camp.
So, do not think you are the only one who remembers Ghana's Political History to churn out convenient lies about others and get away with it.
Akufo-Addo would, by your criteria, be Mr. "Quitman numero 1". It is so incredulous that anytime some progress is made to narrow the differences between the warring factions in NPP, as the Elders of the Party have just tried to do, you come right back to muddy the waters further.
