Just listen to the introduction from the journalist and you wonder how and why he got that job. I could not even made head or tail of what he was talking about. I bet he was considered for the job because he has a baby face or knows Mahama. The accent and syntax were very, very poor.
And like you were saying, some is going to talk about computers at least they need a computer literate to interview that person. On CNN, the neurologist is called for the interview when it comes to medicine. Recently, on the missing Malaysian plane, a black lady with aviation degree is the one that the call on to interview the so called experts.
Even if you don't know anything about computers, like u said, he should have 'googled' to read more about NASA, NOBEL PRIZES and his educational background.
He is not the only one. Kwesi Pratt keeps on making a mess of himself talking about everything. It is about time journalism in the country changed from accepting those who could not get into English programs in the University to those who have graduated in their field. That is, a doctor, nurse or pharmacists needs to interview
news about something relating to medicine. And engineers about construction.
Finally, u are right about the government. Because they put square pegs in round holes, the ministers don't even know what is going in their ministry.
