Surprisingly the Bibles old Testament has as many phrases of viloence and calls to war just like the Quaran. There is very little differences between the two.

The end of the world will be signaled by wars, famines, disease, and earthquakes (6-7). And that's just "the beginning of sorrows" (8). Next believers will be hated and killed by unbelievers (9), believers will hate and betray each other (10), false prophets will fool people (11), iniquity will abound and love wax cold (12). But hey, if you make through all that, you'll be saved (13).
Only one more thing will happen before the end comes: the gospel will be preached throughout the world (14). Well, that and the abomination of desolations will stand in the holy place (15), many false Christs and false prophets will show great signs and wonders (24), the sun and moon will be darkened and the stars will fall (29), the sign of the son of Man will appear in the sky, everyone on earth will mourn, and then, finally, the great and powerful son of Man will come in all his glory (30).
Oh, and all these things will happen within the lifespan of Jesus' contemporaries (34).
Or maybe not. Jesus was talking about things he knew nothing about (36). (See Mark 13:32.) 24:3-51
Jesus had no problem with the idea of drowning everyone on earth in the flood. It'll be just like that when he returns. 24:37
God will come when people least expect him and then he'll "cut them asunder." And "there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 24:50-51
The parable of the cruel and unjust master
The kingdom of heaven is like a rich man who distributed his wealth to his servants while he traveled. He gave five talents (a talent was a unit of money, worth about 20 years of a worker's wages) to one servant, two to another, and one to a third. When he returned, the servant with five talents had made five more, the servant with two made two more, but the servant with one talent only had the talent his master entrusted to him. The master rewarded the servants that invested his money (without his permission -- what would have happened if the stock market went down during their master's travels?) and took the talent from the single-talent servant and gave it to the one with ten talents. "For unto every one that hath shall be given .. but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath." Then the cruel and unjust master cast the servant who carefully protected his master's talent into the "outer darkness: [where] there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 25:14-30
The servant who kept and returned his master's talent was cast into the "outer darkness" where there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth." 25:30
Jesus judges the nations. 25:31-46

These Muslims were attacking people who sympathized these girls and condemned Boko Haram. Ghanaian Muslims regard any attack on Boko Haram as an attack against Muslims. I don't know how these Muslims think.
It is Middle Eastern Muslims that are poisoning our Ghanaian Muslims, whom we have lived with peacefully for years and knew them as peaceful people. Most Muslims in Ghana don't know what is going on. These Mullas have kept most Ghanaian Muslims in darkness.

This is very easy to verify; there are so many verses in the Koran which are the exact opposite or outright contradictions of what is in the bible. Just three examples will suffice: the bible says god ordered Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac; in the Koran Allah ordered Abraham to sacrifice Ishmael. In the bible, Jesus is called the son of god; the Koran refutes this claim. In the bible, Jesus died on the cross; the Koran categorically denies this also. So the question is, can two holy books which contradict each other have come from the same infallible god? Every right-thinking person will agree it cannot be. This means that Allah and Jehovah cannot be the same god; one of them must be a liar and a pretender, claiming to be who he is not in order to deceive innocent souls and lead them astray. But the bible, which is full of fulfilled prophecies, gave a clue to who the false god is thousands of years before the Koran came around. Here is what Isaiah prophesied:
In Isaiah 14:11 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! The Mount of the Congregation, also called the Temple of God, refers to the area in Jerusalem where Solomon built the Temple. In Revelation chapter 11, John is given revealing instructions concerning this area: Revelation 11:1 ¶And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; FOR IT IS GIVEN UNTO THE GENTILES: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
Today, at this very area on the Mount of the Congregation, which John was asked not to measure because it had been given to the gentles, stands the Dome of the Rock, which is second only to the Kaaba at Mecca as a Muslim holy place.
Is the picture getting clear now? The Bible has predicted in Isaiah, Thessalonians and Revelation that in the future the Son of Perdition who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, would come to sit in the temple of God, and deceive the world that he is God! Which god rules in the mosque? Not Allah? So who is the impostor God?
One thing that anyone interested in knowing the truth must remember is that the Bible is full of amazing prophecies, most of which have been fulfilled to the letter. Meanwhile, there is not a single prophecy in the Koran. So which holy book would you bet your life on; the Koran or the Bible? It is for the world to judge whether Allah and Jehovah can be the same God, or if they are not, which of them is the true God and which one is the impostor god! The Bible says expressly that for lack of knowledge, people perish. YES, YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND ONLY THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE.

I am having to re-post this piece to capitalise the name God which appeared with a small 'g' the the earlier post.
TRUTH IS SACRED! To believe Allah is Jehovah God is the greatest error! This is very easy to verify; there are so many verses in the Koran which are the exact opposite or outright contradictions of what is in the bible. Just three examples will suffice: the bible says God ordered Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac; in the Koran Allah ordered Abraham to sacrifice Ishmael. In the bible, Jesus is called the son of God; the Koran refutes this claim. In the bible, Jesus died on the cross; the Koran categorically denies this also. So the question is, can two holy books which contradict each other have come from the same infallible God? Every right-thinking person will agree it cannot be. This means that Allah and Jehovah cannot be the same God; one of them must be a liar and a pretender, claiming to be who he is not in order to deceive innocent souls and lead them astray. But the bible, which is full of fulfilled prophecies, gave a clue to who the false God is thousands of years before the Koran came around. Here is what Isaiah prophesied:
In Isaiah 14:11 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the MOUNT OF THE CONGREGATION, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
In the New testament, it is written: 2 Thessalonians 2:3 ¶Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and THAT MAN OF SIN BE REVEALED, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he AS GOD SITTETH IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, SHEWING HIMSELF THAT HE IS GOD.
The Mount of the Congregation, also called the Temple of God, refers to the area in Jerusalem where Solomon built the Temple. In Revelation chapter 11, John is given revealing instructions concerning this area: Revelation 11:1 ¶And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; FOR IT IS GIVEN UNTO THE GENTILES: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
Today, at this very area on the Mount of the Congregation, which John was asked not to measure because it had been given to the gentles, stands the Dome of the Rock, which is second only to the Kaaba at Mecca as a Muslim holy place.
Is the picture getting clear now? The Bible has predicted in Isaiah, Thessalonians and Revelation that in the future the Son of Perdition who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, would come to sit in the temple of God, and deceive the world that he is God! Which God rules in the mosque? Not Allah? So who is the impostor God?
One thing that anyone interested in knowing the truth must remember is that the Bible is full of amazing prophecies, most of which have been fulfilled to the letter. Meanwhile, there is not a single prophecy in the Koran. So which holy book would you bet your life on; the Koran or the Bible? It is for the world to judge whether Allah and Jehovah can be the same God, or if they are not, which of them is the true God and which one is the impostor God! The Bible says expressly that for lack of knowledge, people perish. YES, YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND ONLY THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE.

As main characteristic of God's nature ( God = Love (1 John 4:8)), it supercedes the old law of "an eye for an eye" (revenge, "karma", judgement), which however still applies in all situations, where unconditional Love is not brought to reign.

I re-published after the Al-Shabah carnage in Nairobi in two parts a piece I wrote on Islamic terrorism and slavery in Africa. That must be disseminated more in order to allow all to know about the ugly truth surrounding Islam in African and beyond.
Islam, just as Christianity, was used to justify the massacring, plundering and enslavement of Africans to a degree far higher than the Middle Passage. The atrocities of Muslims in Africa must be confronted with their backward and primitive belief system. So long as we Africans, and so long as the mass of humanity continue to believe in the myths contained in both the Bible and Qu'ran about the origin of the universe, humans shall continue to fall prey to these religious charlatans and crazed individuals who subscribe to the fundamentalist atrocities prescribed for others.

This is what God told King Saul (not David) in 1 Samuel 15:2,3: "2 Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt. 3 Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. This "fatwa" on Amalek is different from the injunctions in the Koran in that, it was a specific instruction to King Saul concerning the Amalekites over 3,000 years ago. There is nobody today who will use this verse to unleash violence on another person. This is not like the injunctions in the Koran.
For instance, look at a typical Koranic verse, 47:4 "Therefore, when ye meet the unbelievers, smite at their necks, at length when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them) ... but if it had been God's will, he could certainly have exacted retribution from them (himself), but (he lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the way of God, he will never let their deeds be lost." - and there are many verses like that in the Koran as the writer has shown.
The danger of the Koranic verses is that, they are open-ended so they are applicable every time and every place. All that you need to apply these verses is: one believer (ie a Muslim) in the midst of unbelievers.

In the wake of the unwholesome killing of Prof. Kofi Nyidevu Awoonor in Kenya by deranged Islamic terrorists, coupled with certain personal reflections on the religious scene back home, it has become necessary for some of us to rejoin the fight against the increasing scourge of religious violence, obscurantism, chicanery, frauds and falsehood the best way the powers-that-be should have been prosecuting it in the first place: advocating and deepening scientific and rational education and knowledge against the primitive, substantive beliefs sponsored and advocated by religious superstition of all kinds; be they in origin African, Judeo-Christian, Islamic and Asian types such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism. The brutal murder in Woolwich of Fusilier Lee Rigby who I knew personally as a nice customer by two deranged converts to Islam of Nigerian origins is equally catalytic in setting my thoughts running again.
Besides, I have been re-invigorated by the writings of Francis Kwarteng which reflect exactly what I was writing on the premier Ghanaian forum, Okyeame, in the 1990s. I was a lone ranger then, with most people hardly conscious of what I was disturbing their peace with but everything I had been warning against is unfolding before our very eyes: the invasion of the religious charlatans in Ghana, the Chinese and the T-thing being some of my main pre-occupation. T-thing?? Tribalism! The Ethnic Imbroglio! Still on that big time and had stockpiled some heavy arsenal awaiting to deliver some devastating strikes when those deranged Islamic loonies struck on my left flank, thus necessitating re-opening activities on this front too. Thanks for reinforcement from this unexpected source and the increased consciousness and awareness of fellow Africans since the 1990s about the nefarious activities of these religious charlatans and snake oil sellers, I hope this offensive against an equally dangerous enemy shall make greater inroads in halting their onslaught on us who are sane, scientific and rational in our thoughts and world view.
We cannot sit down and allow those whose cosmogony and cosmology have not evolved beyond the Weberian primitive, substantive rationalisation of primitive man to rule our world anymore. We must prefer they quote either the Bible or the Qur’an and call us fools rather than be like them, idiots and morons who in spite of the “plenty, plenty education” they have had, and all the subjects of learning, from A to Z (Archeology to Zoology) negate their world views, they still cling to a soteriological understanding of those two contradictory and contradiction-filled books, adamantly propounding their inerrancy and their solutions to our myriad of problems which they sanctioned and helped to be created in the first place.
I am therefore taking to the field again, beginning with a revised version of something I had written far back in the mid-1990s, in response to I-man, no other a person than Dr Nii Moi Thompson, and then others on a Sudanese forum. I was engaged in exchanges with them on the subject of Muslims/Arabs enslaving Africans and the roots of the conflict in Southern Sudan respectively. That was before Darfur blew out.
Dealing with Arabic/Muslim history of slavery in Africa and Islamic fundamentalism may be just dilemmas of a way of life sanctioned in the Qur’an for Arabs and Muslims, but they brought horrendous calamities – massive destruction, death in huge numbers and untold suffering - to we black Africans in particular and non-Muslims in the past and must not be allowed to continue to be so today. Islamic fundamentalism today must be confronted not only by force of arms but by scientific education, scholarly expositions and rational arguments based on empirical evidence and socio-economic interventions to confront the conditions and deal with the mentality, the beliefs and the socio-economic factors that fuel it.
My image of the Islamic world once dominated by the Arabs, Arabised and other Muslim rulers stretched from Moorish Spain (Granada), through North Africa down to the sudanic and sahel belt of Africa and crossing the Red Sea to Arabia itself and covering Asia Minor then through Pakistan to Islamic India, Indonesia to the Philippines! The skeletons of African slaves could be found in all those places, not only in Saudi Arabia nor under the Sahara Desert.
The answer to an often asked question why there is not very glaring presence of black Africans in the Arab world outside Africa as in the Americas is that a high number of the male slaves were castrated (eunuchs), thereby prohibiting them from procreation. The female slaves had issues with their fair-skinned masters, thereby blurring the colour line. Our level of ignorance about these things is simply phenomenal!
When I mentioned on Okyeame in the 1990s that Jesus was not the first and only person said to be born by a virgin in the annals of religious history, it caused an uproar, with not a SINGLE PERSON among the platoon of PhDs and graduates on the forum able to corroborate what I wrote! I was stunned and in total disbelief at how deep our ignorance ran! Today, one can simply type “virgin birth” into Google and read all about virgin birth myths in history, so there is no excuse for our continual ignorance any more. But this topic is not about Christian myths borrowed from earlier religions; it is about the ravages Islam has been causing too in Africa for time immemorial. Nonetheless, the soul-searching and purview shall be situated within the debilitating Christian and African contexts too. Yes, in spite of whatever “enlightenment,” “civilisation” and what not both religions brought to Africa, it was high time we take stock: at what and whose expense and to whose benefit?
The evidence of Arab prosecution of slavery in Africa [and continuing prosecution of slavery in the Sudan and Mauritania] is so overwhelming and pervasive that few Africans were unaffected by it, for better or for worse, in those days of woes. We Africans do not and must not therefore need any European or Arab defining for us what slavery means. We must define that ourselves!
Some like to argue that slavery in Africa and the Islamic World was not chattel slavery as evolved in the New World and it was much milder with slaves even having rights and much power (e.g., the eunuchs, the castrated men, used in the harems and in governance in some Islamic polities). For me, slavery is slavery and our forefathers knew that. That was why some went to very elaborate extents in assimilating slaves, with rituals blotting out their backgrounds, preventing their memories being passed on to off-springs, and revelation can draw severe penalties. Such measures were to lessen the stigma and trauma of being enslaved, and hence prevent slave revolts, escapes, etc. It was not for the love of the slaves that Africans and Arabs treated slaves "nicely," after enslavement. It was out of necessity. Whites in the Americas, having separated the Africans 1000 of miles from their homes, felt no need to be "nice" to their slaves. But, there were nice masters in the Americas too, especially in Brazil where the Portuguese did not have the One-Drop-of-Black-Blood-You-are-Black rule, and so took African women as wives, with their off-springs inheriting them. Of course, some of these off-springs became notorious as the major slave factors along the W. African coastline down to Angola but that is another story.
Yes! The total assimilation of slaves in Africa meant lessening of the pains of enslavement, but total assimilation meant “social death." No remembrance of your past, as attempt was made to wipe out everything about your past. New name, new tribal marks, etc.
As for the slave armies some talk about, they are among the worst things to have ever happened to Africa. The havoc the inherited colonial mercenary and oppressive armies, with roots in ex-slaves - following on the heels of African and Muslim potentates - have been wrecking on us is there for all to see. These are issues, e.g. the slave origins of Africa’s colonial armies, we are yet to take up for discussion in Africa. They cannot be left to only French Marxists in particular who have produced the greatest research output on the subject in a language many of us do not have command over.
As a matter of fact, the capturing process of slaves is anything but nice. It was usually horrendous, when it were raids. Whole villages razed down and those not considered fit for taking away like the old and kids killed. That was to make sure those taken away knew they had nothing to return to even if they escaped. But of course, much of the slaves came from tithes paid by vassal states, or from ambushing trade routes and paths to farms to kidnap unsuspecting innocent wayfarers. Commercial activities between neighbours in farm produce and other manufactures in much of Africa became hazardous business. Gradually, all forms of such activities almost died down, being restricted to the subsistence level only in many areas. Some on the escape always have to depend on the providence of nature to survive, roaming about stark naked, or only with some rag or bark of a tree to cover their private parts! Yet, these were people who once lived in towns with thriving production, commerce and exchange comparable to anywhere in Arabia and Europe.
Without settled life-style, production and exchange, no society could ever hope to become specialised and increase its productive capabilities and productivity. What was left of those activities in the C19th, in the more powerful and secured African states very much responsible for destroying such activities in other areas, European colonisation came to destroy. We are thus in an induced state of backwardness, a situation generated by Arab intrusion into Africa, followed by the Europeans and ably assisted by some African collaborators to the mayhem that was unleashed on Africa.
The "Rwandas", with either the French and Belgiums or the English, Arabs, etc. lending supporting background, and the resurgent Islamic violence have been occurring on the African continent for millennia. It was long over-due for Black Africans to be courageous, admit their role in the continuing carnage and put a stop to it once and forever by turning our back on the past, rejecting it and forging a New Vision for Africa. We can no longer afford to pretend as the Belgium paratrooper who informed "New African" of why they remained inactive in the face of the ensuing massacres in Rwanda: "We are told to ignore it all and to act as if we could not see or hear anything," (New African, Dec., 1990). That serves their interests only, as even the Hutu leaders have since then learnt, hopefully.
Their re-arming, by the same people who did so in the past but deserted them when it served them to do so, is not the solution, even though I actually sympathise with them. The Tutsis were parties to the African Holocaust, and they should know that Nemesis often catches up with one. My hope then that they had become wiser has not been fully justified with the situation in Eastern Congo where the Bamulenge Tutsis continue to cause havoc with Rwandan support. They are just unrepentant as the Arab/Muslim slavers! The same state of affairs apply in Ghana and much of sub-Saharan African where scions of slavers today still hold in contempt and prejudice those their ancestors once raided to fill the cargo hold of European slavers and chain gangs of the Arabs, the root of the ethnocentric jibes that continue to bedevil us. I have started dealing with that elsewhere in series.

I have to bring all this to present a focus. I-man's problem is not limited to him alone but the vast majority of Africans and even the Arabs themselves! And our brothers of the Diaspora actually got sucked on the BIG LIE; hence the formation of the "Black Muslim" movement, now known as the Nation of Islam. As an African, I cannot rest until the whole TRUTH is known, especially as the scions of the perpetrators of this crime continue to support the continuation of atrocities and exploitation on the African continent.
I have no choice since their off-springs have grown so arrogant that they treat all of us with disrespect and contempt, regardless of what role your ancestors played in making the deed successful. Or your own role presently or that of your parents in perpetuating the old order.
Its destruction (the MYTH) remains the only “salvation”, [Francis Kwarteng has dubbed it “psycho-cultural manumission,”] for us. We do not and must not see our redemption in subscribing to some esoteric and non-existent Nirvanas.
This response is actually a brief one, taking into account the huge available material. Since he asked for references, you can all make the effort to find out for yourselves.
It is true Arabs led proselytization of Islam, but it is not true that all Arabs were or are Muslims. One may even find an Arab Hari Krishna these days! It will therefore be technically wrong to use the two words synonymously.
It follows that not all Arab slave merchants were Muslims; especially that even some of those merchants were slaves themselves! However, within the complex scheme of things that existed during the 13 centuries (entered the 15th in the Sudan and Mauretania) of slavery under Muslim Arab masters, Muslim Arabs definitely relegated non-Muslim Arabs, Christians and Jews and other non-Muslims to second class citizens, open to enslavement themselves and all kinds of bad treatment. Even Muslims suffered enslavement under Islam! Rationalisations were found for all this under Islam, ably quoting the appropriate Suras, the most common was being accused of becoming “Hypocrites” or “Apostates,” and thus not true Muslims.
The books that are said to have captured these facts most succinctly are Bat Ye'or's books: "The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians under Islam" (1985) and "Les Chretientes D'Orient Entre Jihad Et Dhimmitude" (1991).
These things were done with the blessing of Islam and the Defenders of the Faith. An article in the Free Inquiry, Summer 1993, provides a succinct review on the subject. Let's take a glance.
It was noted that "Muslim theologians are unanimous in declaring that no religious tolerance was extended to the idolators of Arabia at the time of Muhammad. The only choice given them was death or the acceptance of Islam." Escape into exile was the option for those who would not convert and did not want to die.
We Africans were the next target after they had conquered the Middle East. Muslims are enjoined to kill all unbelievers and “kaffirs” or “kuffaars,” the derogatory word Arabs call black Africans, or take them into captivity.
"When you meet the unbelievers, strike off their heads; then when you have made wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives" (Surah XLVII.4).
So, just as the Old Testament in the Bible is replete with Yahweh’s alleged commands to the Jews to commit genocide on the people whose land their Yahweh had allegedly given to them, not even sparing the animals in some cases [that is, scorch earth tactics to make Samouri Toure and Babatou proud), the Qur’an is also littered with many injunctions to kill unbelievers in very ingenious ways, or take them as captives for ransom [Allah be merciful, some may be free upon meeting certain conditions, chief among them being converting to Islam, making sure not to be seen as a Hypocrite].
One choice example:
"As for the unbelievers for them garments of fire shall be cut and there shall be poured over their heads boiling water whereby whatever is in their bowels and skins shall be dissolved and they will be punished with hooked iron rods" (Surah XXII. 19-21).
These are just a few of many similar verses you find in the Qur’an prescribed for Christians, Jews and non-believers, that form the basis for the hideous massacres perpetrated against, and enslavement of, others in the name of Allah. You have to read the whole article in order to get how these sordid injunctions were implemented, from Arabia through Africa and India to the Philippines. On smaller versions, such things continue today in the name of Allah [just as we have witnessed in Nairobi].
It is not our concern that some Muslims, just as some Christians, argue that those who perpetrated such crimes against humanity misinterpreted the Qur’anic verses, and we hope they’d end up in the fierest part of their hell. Our concern is that such verses INDEED exist in the Qur’an and they were USED TO JUSTIFY the enslavement of we Africans, and the horrendous genocides of the past, and the killings, maiming and crimes against humanity that some Muslims continue to commit against both Muslims and non-Muslims today. They are the first to argue that there is no ambiguity or contradiction in the Qur’an when such things are pointed out to them.
As an African, whose ancestors had suffered from the onslaught of the Arab Muslim invasion of Africa and, caught between them from the north and the Europeans along the Atlantic coast, been forced to participate in that hideous trade, I cannot remain silent over the hypocrisy of the defenders of Islam, or for that matter, any religion with such a dubious background, still masquerading about as the ONLY road to our "salvation"!
Another book you may like to look at is "The Legacy of Islam", ed. by Maxime Robinson (Schacht & Bosworth: Oxford, 1974).
But let's dwell on Africa alone now. For this we turn to Orlando Patterson's book, "Slavery and Social Death: A Comparative Study", Harvard University Press, 1982. The fat appendix and references alone represent a gold mine for anybody interested in the question of slavery in general.
What you read inside may show you why the White and Arab Establishment are so afraid of their own shadows, and arming themselves to the teeth all the time. They fear Nemesis, from within and without, catching up with them. It never occurs to them that a fraction of that wasted funds could be serving to build them peace and security in the form of restitution - socio-economic interventions - for the carnages of the past.
We find at pp. 157-8 that the Trans-Saharan and Eastern African Slave Trade masterminded by the Muslims were far bigger in volume and inhumanity than the Atlantic Slave Trade! Between "A.D. 650 to 900 some 450,000 persons were transported in this trade; between 900 and 1400 approximately 2.8 million persons; another 2.4 million were carried away between 1400 and 1800; and during the nineteenth century about 1.2 million.* It is striking that the total number of persons acquired in this trade is well over half those taken to the Americas in the Atlantic slave trade, and that when the East African total of five million persons is added, the total volume of African slaves acquired by Muslim masters is greater than the total acquired by Europeans in the Americas (even making allowances for upward revision of Curtin's estimate of the transatlantic trade)."

Percentages of the higher mortality in the Trans-Saharan Trade were then provided. That's how, over the millennia, Africans have formed the labour reservoir upon which others have built their palaces and wealth. Yes! Their civilisations!
It continues today, through extraction of surplus value by way of the once again accepted and "normal" "deteriorating terms of trade" economics love to calculate. In secondary school, we were taught that we received low prices for our exports because they were primary goods (not their apples or stock fish in our markets though). But, can someone explain to me why Bangladeshi textile workers don’t even get up to $40 per month take home pay, an amount far less than the cost of some of the dresses they make? Sure! Some cost $2 too. Why so cheap? Well, this is about the ravages of Islam but we must not lose focus on the ultimate goal: getting correct value placed on our lives and the fruits of our labour.
You'd find an elaborate discourse on the rationalisation of slavery by both Christianity and Islam, as well as other countless societies, including our own, in Patterson’s book. It's a masterpiece and a gift to posterity and all who want to fight against the lingering warped effects of that inhuman trade, the continuation of inhumane practices by the leaders of this world and religious fundamentalism and violence would find it very useful. Using thousands of billions of dollars to pile up weapons of destruction, while over a billion people live in increasingly wretched conditions beyond their choice is highly warped and uncivilised! That is one warped and insensitive mentality left by the past which is fueling despair, disillusionment and religious obscurantism, abuses and violence.
We've only ONE EARTH, no need to destroy some people fighting over its resources, which we jointly and severally own, produce and must share more equitably.
I hope this suffices to answer your questions. It is up to those who are not consumed by religious dogmas, fundamentalism and greed to join the fight against this scourge of violence and charlatanism in the name of religion.

Honestly speaking, I have had the misfortune to work with muslims in a ship for three good years. Being the only christian and a black man in that ship, had made me to fully understand how muslims view other religions. I had bought the bible for more than five times,since they kept throwing them into the sea,with the excuse that, I might be reading it whiles on watch. Speaking as an oracle of Allah, Prophet Mohammed commanded that all those who oppose his teachings be killed or they should be nailed on a tree or their hands and legs be cut off or they be driven out of the land(Sura5:36). The question then is which teaching is the prophet talking about? Mohammed or Allah( or whoever is speaking) says: ' O ye who believe! Take not the Jews or Christians as friends. They are but friends to one another, and he amongst you who takes them(as friends) then surely he is one of them. Verily Allah guides not the unjust people( Sura 5:51). The Qur'an also quotes Allah as saying that violence against non-Muslims is in fact, not just a religious duty but a profitable commerce, business!(Sura 61:10-12). In the Hadiths, Mishkat Masabith, violence against non-Muslims is said to be: "...the best method of earning blessings) both spiritual and temporal. If victory is won, there is enormous booty of a people, which cannot be equaled to any source of income. If there is defeat or death, there is everlasting paradise." The question then is : Who is this Allah?

I have to admit that the Old Testament has many things in common with the Qur'an. And yet the Old Testament together with the new, form the basis of the Christian faith.
There are instances of violence in the Old Testament. Wars, conquests, King David taking someones else's wife and killing the husband. Moses' law on revenge-an eye for eye, tooth for tooth. Since the rebuttals by Muslims to Paa Nii's article do not deny the many quotes of violence, l take it that they accepts those quotations.
Here is the difference between Christianity and Islam.
The Christian Bible has two eras-[one that has events of violence and the other that denounce these violence and preaches peace. In fact, an essence of the New Testament is to draw lessons to SOME of the mistakes in the Old Testament and to correct them-using the New Testament. That is why the second book is called new testament or new testimonies of God, so to speak. What l need to be educated on is whether there are passages in the Qu'ran that later denounce the instigation of violence.
Whereas both the Qu'ran and the Old Testament have some elements of both peace and violence, the Old Testament does not instruct that it is a mandate to kill ones religious opponents. The Mosaic law of an eye for an eye more or less can be understood as an act of self-defense, or proportionality in executing punishment. It is not an instruction of violence.
As stated earlier, it is not my place to judge. But l genuinely want to Muslim brothers to come out and educate us whether the instigation of violence Nii mentioned in the Qu'ran is true or not. They need to educate us beyond 'true' or 'false' with facts from the Qu'ran and especially with the support Nii mentioned of the current case in the Sudan, where someone is being sentenced to DEATH just by marrying a person from a different religion.
There are passages in the Bible where jews were advised not to marry Gentiles, but to put someone to death for disobedience? Is it God who is the Judge or man? I need to be educated.

And you guys always justify your attrocities by comparing the wars that Iancient srael waged against her neighbours which had nothing to do with Christianity but Israel as a nation. Even those wars were mosetly self defence as their neighbours always sought to enslave them. And there is no where in the Old Testament that the God of Israel the Lord God 'Yahweh' told Israel to go on a killing and maurading spree in order to convert unbelievers to Judaism or Christianity at a later stage. Only when Israel's existence was threatened would he ask them to go to war and most times telling them to stand aside for him their God and King to cuse his miracles to defeat their enemies.
Jehovah Jahweh's method of conversion of other nations to come and know about him was for Israel to be obedient to him and follow his laws and statutes and refrain from sins and in so doing he would bless them and make them more prosperous amongst all the then sorrounding nations so that they would become envious and seek to know about Israel's God and seek his face as well. And whenever Israel fail that mark, the Lord Yahweh would remove his cover and protection for other nations to subdue Israel until they saw their folly and sins and returned to him. So this scenario was how nationbuilding and warfare was eggaged during the Biblical Old Testament era. Now do the analysis yourself and compare that to your prohet Mohammed's quest to establish your beloved Islam and his so called Allah giving him instructions to gon a killing spree of all those groups of people who disagree with his revelations and admonish his followers down the centuries to continue to do same. Oh lets I forget - fast forward to New Testament Christianity, what did Jesus the Mesiah preach? Did he preach conversion by violence or war or by love, peace and concern for our neighbour's physical and eternal spiritual wellbeing? Didint the Christ admonish his diciples to turn the other cheek etc etc? That's the difference between Christianity and Islam - the former very peaceful, gentle, meek and mild and loving whereas the later violent, aggressive, subduing and temperemental. also i see you make a comment that the violent directives of the Islamic holy texts "are mostly open-ended that they are not restrained by the historical context of the surrounding text" looking at the historical development of judaism/xtianity many of the mosaic laws and biblical directives in the old testament were applied in the rise of christianity (eg in the crusades) irrespective of New Testament claims that the laws had been revised or renewed by Jesus. religion does not restrict directives to specific times in history or context, they are applied at random, so historical context is not a sufficient reasoning for the validity or not of religious directives. After all no xtian will tell you the 10 commandments dont apply to their reality today.

To believe Allah is Jehovah god is the greatest error! This is very easy to verify; there are so many verses in the Koran which are the exact opposite or outright contradictions of what is in the bible. Just three examples will suffice: the bible says god ordered Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac; in the Koran Allah ordered Abraham to sacrifice Ishmael. In the bible, Jesus is called the son of god; the Koran refutes this claim. In the bible, Jesus died on the cross; the Koran categorically denies this also. So the question is, can two holy books which contradict each other have come from the same infallible god? Every right-thinking person will agree it cannot be. This means that Allah and Jehovah cannot be the same god; one of them must be a liar and a pretender, claiming to be who he is not in order to deceive innocent souls and lead them astray. But the bible, which is full of fulfilled prophecies, gave a clue to who the false god is thousands of years before the Koran came around. Here is what Isaiah prophesied:
In Isaiah 14:11 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the MOUNT OF THE CONGREGATION, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
In the New testament, it is written: 2 Thessalonians 2:3 ¶Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and THAT MAN OF SIN BE REVEALED, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he AS GOD SITTETH IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, SHEWING HIMSELF THAT HE IS GOD.
The Mount of the Congregation, also called the Temple of God, refers to the area in Jerusalem where Solomon built the Temple. In Revelation chapter 11, John is given revealing instructions concerning this area: Revelation 11:1 ¶And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; FOR IT IS GIVEN UNTO THE GENTILES: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
Today, at this very area on the Mount of the Congregation, which John was asked not to measure because it had been given to the gentles, stands the Dome of the Rock, which is second only to the Kaaba at Mecca as a Muslim holy place.
Is the picture getting clear now? The Bible has predicted in Isaiah, Thessalonians and Revelation that in the future the Son of Perdition who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, would come to sit in the temple of God, and deceive the world that he is God! Which god rules in the mosque? Not Allah? So who is the impostor God?
One thing that anyone interested in knowing the truth must remember is that the Bible is full of amazing prophecies, most of which have been fulfilled to the letter. Meanwhile, there is not a single prophecy in the Koran. So which holy book would you bet your life on; the Koran or the Bible? It is for the world to judge whether Allah and Jehovah can be the same God, or if they are not, which of them is the true God and which one is the impostor god! The Bible says expressly that for lack of knowledge, people perish. YES, YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND ONLY THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE.

Jesus is talking about a king in a parable who is angry with a servant who didn't use a talent the king gave him to use. The king is angry and is talking about killing the servant as worldly kings do in their anger. Jesus is not asking for anybody to make Him a king on earth or else that person would be killed. He is actually implying that people who don't use the talent given them will end up loosing everything including their very lives on judgment day.
Like father like son. Truly, Muslims like Dee are extremely desperate just like their master, Muhammad.
In his desperation to render Jesus a mere prophet like himself, Muhammad contrived a verse in the Koran in which he portrays Jesus disavowing His sonship or oneness with the Father. This is how Muhammad proceeded: God asked Jesus: "Jesus, son of Mary, are you and your mother teaching the people that you are two Gods besides Me?" And Jesus answered: "My God, how can I do that? I can't claim that I am a God. I can teach the people what I am not."
In this way Muhammad cleverly made Jesus disclaim His special place by the Father. Muhammad strangely didn't note the fallacy in his reasoning. How can God, unless the Muslims Allah is a different kind of God, not know the truth as to whether Jesus said what He was accusing Jesus of? An all knowing God would have said: "Jesus why did you do such a thing..." Instead Muhammad's Allah was rather helplessly asking for validation and when Jesus denied the charge, the answer was enough for Allah. And this is in his so-called Holy Book. In his desperate bid to relegate Jesus to his level Muhammad falls into fallacies and reduces his Allah into reverse omniscience.
Desperation among these kind of people everywhere. Truth, like peace, is an anathema to them.
