I think it is worth putting on record that the man Kwame Pianim began his political career as an NKRUMAIST with the likes of Frimpong Ansah, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, under Nkrumah 's presidency. He crossed the carpet to the UP in 1964, only some one year plus before the overthrow of the CPP government. He may have switched over to the UP due to pressure from friends and family, who did not understand why an Ashanti Scholar should place his services at the disposal of Nkrumah's CPP. The nationalistic tendencies we see in Mr. Pianim, his humility, his preparedness to serve his nation in any capacity, irrespective of whichever Govt is in power, are all hall-marks of CPP and Nkrumaism. May the Good Lord bless Pianim to serve his country. Amen

Maybe, you ought to have asked Mr Pianim why he crossed carpet. Assigning a reason for him, especially, a tribal reason for a man Daily Post wants us to celebrate is a misnomer.

why are these NDC idiots crying , wailing and gnashing their teeth about the NPP not participating in their foolish propaganda gimmick labeled the economic waste of time chop money forum? Even their own duffuor and peprah or worthy businessmen like Sam Jonah and Ken Agyapong amongst others distanced themselves from that farce or hastily prepared event. did they not so long ago say they have a better agenda , action year, manifesto , no need for an all inclusive govt or tapping into the potentials of even the diaspora , no need for free education in the south too, no need to investigate the mysterious death of Mills , encouraging sodomy and homosexuality , govt still in first gear or now in reverse or completely stopped for lack of the fuel of ideas . In fact things are so bad that the long overdue reshuffle can not happen as all worthy , competent people with integrity refuse to participate in the mess of a govt or serve under and idiot of a pepeni president Mahama. Even schoolboy fifi kwetey admits the forum is unnecessary as our problems are all about NDC POLITICS and their incorrigible rouge socialism which further pushes our people to poverty . if you speak up and dont sing their hallelujah chorus of stupidity and hatred of the Akans you will be immediately be branded a drug baron , corrupt , arrogant , ashanti/akyem primitive ,madman , deranged , fool or idiot for pointing them in the right direction . how can there be a successful economic dialogue that will produce sustainable macroeconomics and plans based on the positive potentials of our people if all the major stakeholders including the diaspora or promoters of worthy projects not invited . if no one can dare to criticize the govt for fear of being victimized or persecuted by the ewes and northerners today ? The potential of the majority due to this tribal ndc politics is excluded from participating in anything so how do they expect the move things forward in reality have nothing to offer except corruption , hatred of the Akans and narrow mindedness? petition or not this govt is burdened by being illegitimate in the minds of all citizens ( as all still suspect election rigging and corruption of the judges ) so can never perform or have the true authority and support of the majority to produce a better future.one way or another they will be made to leave as their despicable acts have lead to all victims deeply despising them

If he tried to overthrow the PNDC, what was wrong with that? Tell me any good thing the PNDC did? The whole idea of the PNDC was to protect the life of Rawlings and allow him to plunder Ghana. PNDC held Ghana back for more than two generations. I am not any fan of Pianim, because I think he is an opportunist. But as far as overthrowing the PNDC, I which he had succeeded.
The main point here is that the continuous ringing of the NEF bell suggests clearly that the present government has too much time on its hands and does not know what to do with all that time.

In situations like this,NPP jss drop-outs who make comments will never make one here. NPP is just a group of self seekers who shd rather be seen as inward looking.

In spite of the balderdash rolling out of the NDC propaganda machinery from its loud-mouthed whippersnappers, the presence of the likes of Kwame Pianim in the NPP leadership showcases the loftier side of the party that the NDC is so scared of and and would rather do whatever it'd take to hide this from ghanaians than make it known.
Can the NDC boast of any Pianim-like personality in their party leadership? None readily comes to mind. Having tasted power through the barrel of the gun the PNDC offshoot is determined to use any means possible to hang on to power
They have succeeded so far using lies and deception and capitalizing on the tribal and political divide in the country. For political expediency they have deepened and widened the divide to their advantage insteadfof productively using the opportunity after opportunity given them by ghanaians to heal, unite and develop the nation. They have ruled for 32 years in the post-Nkrumah era but keep heaping the blame for their recurring failures on the NPP which has only ruled a paltry 10.5 years (including 2.5 years of Busia).
The NPP in its 8 year rule, 2000-2008, reached out across the aisle to give the party a more national image and to heal and unite. When Ibn Chambas accepted his nomination by President Kuffour for ECOWAS Secretary General's job he was ridiculed and called a traitor by his party. The NPP has proven to be more tolerant and inclusive than the so-called social democrats.

Kwame Pianim told a big lie when he said he saw Mills on two occasions returning envelopes. Kwame Pianim was not at the Castle with the two previous Johns. If someone tries to bribe a president it is a criminal offence and the president should have caused the arrest of the perpetrator. The fact that no arrests were made means that it never happened.

Advise Kwame Pianim that the CPP is still in existence and that 'Nkrumahism' ( which the Osagyefo himself could not define) never dies, so he should go back and join his mother party.
