Simplicity pays. Going round in circles over a simple issue makes it difficult for readers to grasp your message.

Is this write-up a thesis that MUST be read or it is just simply a write that should only attract people to read?
Bad paragraphing with paragraphs so intimidating to read.
Be smart next time.

Interesting account. The present is where we get lost if we have no knowledge of our past.I know some of the people mentioned in the piece and I met some of them in Lome when they were fleeing from Rawlings's terror in the early 1980s. You put up a good fight, and your story will remain an integral part of Ghana's political history. Unfortunately, real revolutionaries like you are rare in Ghana. Most young people have sold their conscience for silver and gold! God bless you to enjoy your after 60 years in joy and peace!

Attempts have been made in this forum to get the true picture of Ghana before and after Rawlings. Your story is probably the 1st chapter. Our young readers, anxious for quick returns nowadays, may find it long and wandering; I like it. Thank you. I wish we will have on this forum, more personal anecdotes to explain how a bunch of ideologues/revolutionists could metamorphosize from Socialism to corrupt capitalism. All Followers need to know the truth.

This is traveling down Memory Lane, and you crossed my path many times.
I was in Legon in the heady days of the Aluta against UNIGOV and then June 4th. Since I was active in the radical students movt, as a PANYMO member, I recollect many of the names mentioned here as colleagues and mates.
I was the one who used to go round at night to paste Nubuor's writing in the student halls at Legon, as I was involved with his side of the leftist movts on campus after June 4th. I neither joined the JFM nor MONAS. I was threatened by some colleagues on linked to MONAS, with whom I used to have heated arguments. I recollect Yeebo taking some of us - Yaw Adu Larbi, Kwesi Agbley and two other guys - to Okponglo Village to jaw jaw and solidarise with the indigenes there whose ancestral lands had been sold underneath them.
Anyway, I was on vac from Nigeria when 31st Dec. happened. There was no way I was going to join a coup claimed to be a "revilosion". My reading of Marxist and literature started at a very young age in the early '60s as I learned to read. The house was full of such lit - everything Nkrumah had written, magazines from Soviet Union and China, writings of Lenin, loads of Mao and Kim Il sung, just to mention a few. Uncle Kim was by far the most prolific writer ever!
I went back to my station in Nigeria in derision. One thing I agreed with my MONAS friends was that JJ wasn't a revolutionary, nor even a leftist. But Boakye Djan was neither. I won the bet I had with them though: as to who shall end at the receiving end.

Hmmmmmmm. Reading with interest and savoring all the tales in this article, I have come to the conclusion that, the struggles of the past has metamorphosised into a silent and modernized war. We need the Experiences of people like uncle Yen coupled with our God given courage to fight the canker of society. But from this lengthy story from this great son of our mother Ghana, I am very much afraid as I am very much eager to bite and tear down the evils that have spelled doom for my Nation.
