DR. Bokor,I think your argument is rather below the belt. It appears you are out tune with the command structure of the BNI and the National security. First of all, the BNI has no two Deputies but one in the person of John Kobla Dogba who has been acting since 2009 to date. Mr. Dogba hails form the VOlta reion precisely Dzodze and if he were that good why was he not confirmed? He was appointed ahead of his senior colleague, a certain Sheini, who is currently the administrator of te BNI. now Dr. Bokor the issue of Prez Mahama playing the ethnic card to me is either here nor there. The newly appointed acting Director of the BNI, Pius Awelinga is the Director of Operations since 2009 and he hails from the Upper east region of Ghana. Lt Col Larry Gbevlo-Lartey , the removed National Security Coordinator (NSC) was was appointed to te position in 2009 and he is a native of Likpe in the volta region. Yaw Donkor, the new NSC was also appointed the Director of the BNI, in 2009 and he hails from Krachi in the Volta region. Gbevlo had two deputies one of them is called Kosivi who comes from the Volta region. Now you will realise that since 2009 the national security outfit and the BNI were managed by people from the Volta region, i.e Gbevlo, Kosivi, Yaw Donkor and Dogba for nearly six years but the other tribes did not complain. Dr. what you ought to know is that Gbevlo is a Voltarian and he is being replaced by another Voltarian, Yaw Donkor and so what is your beef here? no one has complained about that. Bear in mind that no matter how the people of the Volta region perceive themselves in the governing NDC, the Volta region alone can never win a national election on the ticket of the NDC. It is about time the people of the Volta region stopped being greedy and ethnocentric within the security regime of this country. It seems to me that Voltarians are never satisfied with what they have inspite of the numerous ministerial and sectorial/departmental appointments that the President has given to them. Come again.

I could sense this feeling before I even read the first paragraph. Shame on you Togbevi Bokor. Try to next time see such as purely Ghanaian and not awonaga, asantega, frafraga, fantega, mampruga, dagomga and etc.

Akadu, go away! What Bokor wrote doesn't amount to his promoting "triablism." He was rather against Mahama's appointment appearing as "tribal". Of course, he could have used a different word, as the appointed person doesn't share ethnicity with the President. Not even in the same region, we have been informed.
BTW, I though you're the one who has been going on about Mahama's tribalism, for appointing so many people from the North into positions of authority, even though most of them were not even from his own Gonja ethnic group. His own Gonja people are even peeved and feel neglected. Well, he rode the tiger to power, so let him get down from it safely.:-)

Andy, you're picking on Akadu because, first, you just won't let the opportunity to settle old scores with her pass you by and second, for you, it's a renewal of the same old tribal/political feud at a different battle ground. Mr Gbevlo Lartey set himself up for his eventual removal with his occasional intemperate and caustic remarks on sensitive national issues. His removal has nothing to do with his tribe but much to do with his incompetence and arrogance. Not unexpectedly, some of you are too quick to adopt the one-size-fits-all explanation of tribal hatred to everything that happens under the sun in tropical Ghana. If we, and that includes our sitting president, will see ourselves as first ghanaians before as members of a tribe, the better it'd bode well for the unity, stability and development of our dear nation. Tribalism like racism is embedded in the hearts of men and not even legislation can blot it out. The only solution to its insidious effects is for us to adopt the "Golden Rule", 'Whatever you want men to do unto you do the same unto them.'This translates into mutual respect and love for one another when we recognize that there ought to be equal opportunity, equal justice and equal rights for every ghanaian, regardless of their tribal or political affiliation or background. Bokor's article has tribal innuendos and conspiracy theories and directly or indirectly, he has chosen in a subtle way to stoke the tribal embers. This is not right, no matter who does it. Giving tribal preferences or biases is surely the wrong way to go.

I am sure Bokor knows that Gbevlo-Lartey is from Likpe and the people of Likpe are NOT Ewes ethnically even though, linguistically, they learn to speak Ewe too, and are very much intermarried with Ewes. And Yaw Donkor is also not an Ewe, so I wonder why some people are attributing tribalism to Bokor's concerns about the changes at the BNI. I am sure Bokor would have been happy if say an Asante, Ga, etc., was promoted there so long as the person was in a snr. position. It is a pity that these non-Ewe Voltarians have been eating into the beards of we Ewes who get all the insults for nothing!
Well, I am one person who received news of Gbevlo-Lartey's departure with much glee. He was the one who deployed troops to support the illegal, so-called out-dooring of that impostor, traditional medicine man's son, Patrick Agboba from Logba, as Awoamefia of Anlo. Of course, they have since then been embroiled in a contempt of court case at the Accra Fast Court for their lawlessness and impunity, which included locking up a bailiff sent to serve an interlocutory injunction on them. Tony Lithur and Chris Ackummey, their lawyers, have just appealed again to the Supreme Court, having lost such an appeal summarily at the Appeal Court, all as delaying ploys for avoiding making they day at court to expugn themselves of their lawlessness. Well, our Lawyer Atta Akyea (Ahoofe and Akadu, surprised???), will be there to meet them, and we shall see who shall win this time.
I hope Yaw Donkor will be wise not to extend that illegal support to the culprits, as we are planning to go on the offensive ourselves. Enough is enough! Lawless Bastards!
As for President Mahama, I concluded very early into his admin. that "he no get sense". He listens to and take bad advice and actions, beginning with that ill-fated pilgrimage to Jerusalem episode. He has turned up to be not only mediocre in performance but a big part of the problem of lawlessness and corruption without any restraint, and a visionless govt. Well, even the die-hard NDC supporters are saying those things openly,so I am saying nothing new.

Everything in this country is now about tribalism. Honestly, if it is true that president Mahama is trying to promote his relative or whatever association he has with that guy, over his seniors, then he should be very careful! The tribalism is becoming too much. Little did I know that this man can be very tribalistic to this extend. Yes, what about those incompetent so called ministers? Mahama has miss a very nice opportunity to be one of the best presidents of Ghana. We are watching.
