it was with great emotion that I read the story of the ghanaian plane that landed in Iran under the cover of US flags.I don't really believe that story. it ould just be a camouflage to distract attention. but if this story's realy true, then I think parliament can play an important role in this affair if they want to. they can invite all the stakeholders residing on ghanaian soil to parliament for interview and clarifications. this's a nice opportunity to involve ghanaians in the government of their country by interviewing the stakeholders live on television. the problem's that our parliamentarians themselves may be feeling uneasy if they feel that their hands are not so clean as that. am convinced however that they cannot resist the will of the mass of ghanaians if ghanaians ask for such clarifications. in ghana we often forget that the sovereign's the general ghanaian public and his mouth piece is the national assembly. above that, we never try to involve the ghanaian public in the government of their country and this could be the source of most of our problems in Ghana.
