A beautiful Ghanaian woman goes to see a doctor from the EPA, after describing her symptoms, the doctor diagnoses her and recommends a suppository to treat her illness. The woman is uneasy about this and doctor offers to help her with it.
The next day the woman asks her husband for help with her suppository. She bends over, he places one hand on her shoulder and inserts the suppository into her.
"SHIT!" the woman screams. "Fuck!"
"I'm so sorry, honey. Did I hurt you?" the husband is frantic with worry.
"No." the woman replies. "I just realized that when the doctor did it he had both hands on my shoulders"

This is what we need from writers across the political spectrum, the ability to critique your own party for the interest of the nation.
Parties are just mere vehicles and not the destination, which is Ghana.
And hence, the interest of Ghana must always supersede that of pity party interest.
The NDC would be clever to leave such agreements to the Pro- European Party, the NPP.
The pros and cons of this EPA agreement would sentence any party which signs it to the annals of perpetual condemnation.
I HAVE QUESTIONS TO ASK.
1. How much in money is Ghana going to gain or lose in this agreement over a period?
2. How easy is it to come out of this agreement if it begins to hurt?
3.What are the calculated risk factors to our mushrooming industries? And what are the gains?
4. Does the President realize our economies are just equal in shape to that of the old USSR nations where the projected semi established entities meant to head our way would rather prefer for proximity and regional integration reasons?
5.Do they realize the EU is an association of 28 nations (and still expanding) that seek their individual needs and interest and hence the open view of an agreement strictly binding on all the individual nations can not be guaranteed?
6.Why would they sacrifice the interest of Ghana because of the peanut aid they get from time to time to balance their huge unnecessary budgets, which instead needs tailoring to the essentials?
7.Why should they make policies based on neighboring nations that have over the years disrupted Ghana's achieves to their own disadvantage( referring to Burkina, Ivory Coast and Togo).
We need to find better punitive ways to deal with our French neighbors instead of constantly committing ourselves to agreements that are inimical to us just because the neighboring nations would derail our program?
8.Finally, would the earth come crashing down on us if we fail to sign this agreement?
I would attempt to answer this question, and that is, an affirmative, No!
Mahama must remember, he will be remembered for the ills of this attempt by the Europeans to reinforce the Old Order trading arrangements between the producing West and the raw material producing nations and hence retard our economic progress to their advantage. Who said, mercantilism was dead?

This public move should be viewed with the same suspicion as the govt's rush to sign the agreement and the parade of clueless officials who have tried to force this insidious EPA on Ghana. They will continue to parade their clueless bootlickers at public forums to make it seems that the agenda has popular support. Let us not be fooled.

Gradually and steadily, Bokor seems to be realising the recklessness and BY HEART way of doing things as to the NDC/Mahama govt. We saw this long ago. Before the ECOWAS meeting n Abijan, Mahama govt was all for EPA despite protestations from civil society. Then Nigeria stood against it and Ghana shifted and now Mahama is soliciting for views on EPA. Now NDC wants to steal ideas from people just as they stole SADA and Free SHS ideas from NPP. They want power but they cant think. Dumbish crooks. Dirty Konongo Kaya morons

Thank you Michael. The EU is broke and aggressively greedy. EPA is economic suicide....economic Death Warrant. Outright rejection is what it deserves from Africans.
